Brilliantly run hotel with wonderful staff. Breakfast buffet was fabulous and the pool and outside area lovely.

We loved our experience staying at the Angelo Engel. We ended up with a couple rainy days at this point in the trip and I'm so glad we were staying here at that point. We took full advantage of all the spa and swimming amenities, the daily snack hour from 4-6pm, live music in the bar, negroni night, etc. The breakfast was good, room was huge, views from the room were great. The location is super convenient to get anywhere in Ortisei and to get up to Seceda or Alpe di Suisi. The bus stop is just a minute away. Also a special thank you to the staff - I got injured on the trail and they helped my partner organize transport, etc.

Beautiful scenery and location. Some of the cleanest air you will breathe on earth is in Val Gardena. Trondo restaurant is only a short walk away. Music and night life is great. Hotel was clean and accommodating. High quality. Also walking distance to Seceda lifts. Continental breakfast was excellent. Staff was hospitable and kind.
No AC but not really needed unless your are super heat intolerant. We stayed in the last days of July and the lows were 54 degrees. So open windows and most people will be fine.
