The room was spacious and comfortable. The location was excellent, with most tourist attractions and a shopping mall within walking distance, making it very convenient to explore the city.
Unfortunately, my check-in experience was very disappointing. The receptionist was unprofessional. When she asked me to pay, I simply wanted a few minutes to check whether Booking.com had already charged my card. Instead of allowing me to verify this, she repeatedly insisted that Booking.com had not paid the hotel and told me that if I later found I had been charged, I should deal with Booking.com rather than the hotel.
I had no problem paying the hotel—I only wanted to confirm my bank transaction before doing so. A more polite and understanding approach would have made a big difference.
In addition, the receptionist did not explain any of the hotel’s amenities during check-in. She did not mention where breakfast was served, where guests could get drinking water, or that complimentary tea and coffee were available. I had to ask about each of these things myself.
The air conditioner in the room was also very noisy, which made it difficult to sleep comfortably.
