The hotel was beautiful, clean & close to downtown Sarasota making it convenient to walk everywhere. Overall, the hotel was great and the room was specious and clean. We were chosen as guests of the day & they gave us a free bottle of wine which was amazing!
$45 to valet park was excessive. We chose to park in the parking garage but still had to pay $25. Also I didn’t like that a $28 amenity fee was added on to our bill even though we didn’t utilize anything that was “included” in that fee. I think it should be added only if you choose to utilize the services. Overall, the property was nice but I’m not sure it was worth the $300 / night price tag.

I liked the staff and cleanliness of the room.
The room furniture was in poor condition and the bed was not comfortable. I also wish there was a limit on the amount of people allowed to pay to get on the rooftop so the guests can enjoy the pool too.

Room was a little shabby with peeling vinyl headboard and dated bathroom.
The destination fee is outrageous and not made very clear when booking: a $28 a day extra charge on top of the day rate. This covers, amongst a couple of other things, shuttle service, a welcome drink, and an in-room instrument! That's right, you pay an extra fee for a kids' ukulele in your room. Odd, but apparently all part of the immersive experience of staying at the resort. Art Ovation is not a resort and there is no immersive experience unless the experience in question is being milked like a cash cow. Blatent mis-selling and a terrible add-on cost.
