It is what you expected is an old Victorian style hotel that is really cool, the location is great because we were interested in hanging out at the beach at lovers point so it was great!
When we first got there, there is no parking so it’s basically you have to find street parking on busy days when everyone is trying to go to the beach.
When we first arrived, the young lady at check-in was not very friendly. She acted like she really did not want to help us, or when I ask questions about restaurants in the area, etc. she was just kind of short and acted irritated that I was asking her questions.
There are no TVs in the room so that’s really silent as all of the windows do not open so you can’t even really hear the beach as well, luckily we brought some relaxing sounds to play on our phones to help with the silence.
What just happen to be a family who likes some kind of background noise when we sleep.

The decor is so stunning. The location is fabulous. The bed was the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in.

Great location, nice view from room. Breakfast was good. The grounds were nicely landscaped.
Seemed to be very overpriced for what you expect…and get. Room was small and the water from the sink tasted terrible…slighly sulphuric flavored. In room coffee was a pour over Vietnamese style and didn’t taste good, so I had to walk to coffee shop nearby. Even though breakfast starts at 8am (late in my book), they don’t have any brewed coffee available for early riser guests, which surprised me.
