All the rooms are facing the ocean. A wonderful breakfast spread. We really enjoy the food. The stuffs are exceptionally helpful.

Location- loved watching the boats and the city life from balcony.
Breakfast- best breakfast we had in the Azores
Staff- very friendly and always available
Hat- my husband wears it in Vermont

I enjoyed the location, the staff attentiveness, the breakfast, the cleanliness, the rooftop bar, and the conveniences offered. I usually don't stay in hotels this nice but when I do, they seldom provide the amount of attention to details like the Octant does.
Our experience here was delightful with the exception of one small complaint. When arriving tired and bit frazzled I was told the nearest good restaurant was 15 min away. Later, I found an excellent one across the street. Their parking is very small and tight. They do offer valet.

Very good location, decent breakfast. Friendly front desk / lobby staff.
Extremely poor noise isolation - we could hear the neighbours talk (and do other things) very clearly.
Blinds didn't fully close, which is not great with most rooms facing south east.
Mildly incompetent / unfriendly staff at the restaurant (breakfast).
