The price was extremely affordable and the night included breakfast. We loved that there was interaction with the owners kids and their friends who were playing cricket in the lane outside the house.
The breakfast was good and there was plenty of it.
The room and bathroom were very simple but for the price it was very fair.

The host family is just amazing. Kind, lovely people that made us feel at home. They are always willing to help, the room was clean, the bed was comfy and we got the breakfast one morning and it was delicious. Highly recommend staying at Marcelin.

Conveniently located in Negombo and/or close enough to the airport for an early morning/late night transfer. We only stayed one night, but the family are very nice and I got the impression they'd be willing to help their guests. The room and bathroom were clean.
Didn't provide proper bedding (just a thin and small sheet). There were a few mosquitoes in the room on arrival, so we had to ensure they were not around the bed when we lowered the mosquito net. The washroom is outdated.
