Location is prime. I liked the terrace and common room as well. Staff accommodating.
My room was hot. My AC didn’t work, however they did give me a fan after I raised it to their attention.

I’ve been staying at this hostel whenever I come to Barcelona for years. It’s in a perfect location and has a really pleasant atmosphere. The rooms are clean, and so are the bathrooms.
This time, however, I was very, very disappointed with the condition of the hostel itself.
None of the air conditioning was working, at least on the fourth floor. I stayed in three different rooms on that floor, and it wasn’t working in any of them. I don’t know about the other floors. What disappointed me even more was the response at reception. I heard two or three other guests complain about the same issue, and we were all given the same answer: “Oh, I didn’t know. I’ll tell maintenance.” But this was clearly not an isolated problem.
The kitchen is also missing basic items such as bowls, forks and teaspoons, which makes it surprisingly difficult even to prepare a simple breakfast.
… and the lifts always seems one to be out of order, but this time both were broken, so we had to use the service lift.
Since the changes they made last year, which I understood were supposed to improve the hostel, I actually feel that things have got worse.
I will keep coming because I have always liked staying here, and in fact I already have my next visit booked. I really hope these issues will be fixed by then.
