Very charming and full of character. The location is great: quiet, right next to the Morrab gardens, but an easy walk to the boardwalk. It was a great base for my visit to St. Michael’s Mount.
The bathroom was not very clean. There was misleading (probably outdated) info about breakfast on the internet; there is a cold self-serve available, no cooked offerings. Some parts of the delightful front patio were overgrown or neglected. Overall I got the sense that it was an excellent place back in the day but that staff is struggling a bit now to keep things up.

The room was a really good size and bed was comfy. Bottled water and chocolates were a nice touch.
Room is a little dated and the TV remote didn't work but was fine using the buttons on the TV itself.

Room 4 was spacious and clean; we liked the old-style furniture. The bed was perfect for a good night's sleep and for resting after a long trip. The hotel was close to the beach, the train station, and the bus station.
I wish there were a small fridge in the room. The bathroom was not well lit, as some of the lights were not working.

"The bed was super comfy and the room was very big with a sofa in it. There was a bath and lots of hot water as well as very nice toiletries.
In the communal dining area there was a handy fridge freeze..."
