Asked for an easy to access room for my mother who has limited mobility. Was given a double room right by the door with level access, grab rails in the ensuite, a walk in shower without a step, a plastic chair that could be moved into the shower so mother could shower sitting down. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast delicious.
Mostly everything was great. Only slight negative was that the single room for myself was uninspiring. But it had everything required for a comfortable night, so not that much of a negative really.

Mark is a friendly host and cooks a great hot breakfast. The guesthouse is in a great location in Thirsk. I went to see the James Herriot museum and everything was walkable. I used the community centre pool one night and it was an easy, safe walk. I took the train into York one day and it was a quick taxi ride or short walk. It's near a Tesco for snacks and lots of restaurants too. The room was very nice, clean with a nice bathroom and a window that opened. The guesthouse was quiet too.

The room was extremely comfortable. It was clearly an accessible room, and it would certainly suit someone who uses a wheelchair. The bathroom and shower was wheelchair accessible.
Full cooked breakfast available.
I appreciated the decaf beverages as requested when booking.
