Fantastic central location, clear comms.
The bed was very firm which is far better than being too soft, but was certainly an adaptation. Something for some to be aware of.
Aircon was good.
Everything was clean, new, and well looked after.
Parking was easy for us, got one of the four spaces straight away.
2pm checkin is earlier than many places and was appreciated.
Check in and out is easy as code to the door is given half hour before check-in, so it's all contactless.
I'd definitely consider staying here again.
There were 3 different incredibly strong smelling air fresheners / pot pouri in the room. We placed them outside as cleaners were working elsewhere and they got taken away. No harm done but my wife is autistic and it really was an extreme smell. Artificial and cheap smelling, in my opinion. The only slight detraction on an excellent stay.
We got a bit of a 'threat' about parking at very short notice too. All comms were via booking.com other than I suddenly got an sms saying pay immediately or get fined at like 9:30 at night. I'd have appreciated a payment link up front to use once I'd parked, or a bit more grace to pay post trip. I'd agreed to it, but it felt aggressive. Maybe we'd pissed off the host already with the air fresheners I don't know! Hah.

The space was clean and well laid out.
We couldn't figure out how to do a 'dry only' cycle on the washer and couldn't figure out the microwave. We read the instructions but maybe the owners can figure out a way to make it easier??

The location was excellent and really ideal for being close to the centre, which made getting around very convenient. The only issue was being next door to a loud pub, and the bedroom skylight being positioned directly under the beer garden, which did affect the overall comfort at times. Overall though, the convenience of the location stood out strongly, with just those noise-related points impacting the experience.
Hosts were fair and agreed to discount parking which was very much appreciated.
It felt quite cramped and not very comfortable overall, with a tired decor that made the space feel dated and not particularly well equipped for a comfortable stay. The shower door did not close fully, which resulted in excess water spreading into the bathroom area, which was inconvenient and made the space harder to use safely. In addition, the bedroom appeared dusty in places, which affected the overall impression of cleanliness. I am sharing this so it can be reviewed and improved for future guests.

The location
It was dark and dismal, couldn't stand up straight in the bedroom, back breaking! Shower took 10mins to start and it's right next to a noisy pub (must check location in future)
