Honestly, I was a little nervous about our booking with this location as it was only after I booked our stay for 11 nights that I saw some really negative reviews about lack of cleanliness and poor wifi. However!! these reviews couldn't have been further from our experience. Our sheets and towels were all clean, and the bathrooms were well maintained! We didn't have any problems with the wifi, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Fiona in particular was so friendly and helpful. She was able to book us a taxi to the airport at 3:00 AM with no issues and was generally extremely kind and polite our entire stay. We ended staying in two different rooms during our stay. The first had its own bathroom and A/C and the second (on the second floor) had a bathroom down the hall (which is usually what I expect when booking a less expensive hotel in the centre of a very popular city in Europe) and two fans in the room. If you want to ensure that you have A/C in your room then I would book a room with a private bathroom. That being said, if we kept the blinds closed and the fans on during the day it wasn't terribly hot in the room. And of course the location is worth it!!

The location is superb - a stones throw from the Medici Chapel in Basilica San Lorenzo, and with the Duomo around the next street. All tourist locations are within walking distance.
Our room was spartan affair - with shared toilet/shower in the hallway (there were 2! importantly).
No view as such - but the entrance hallway overlooks the old market.
You won't need an alarm clock - the church bells will have you up and off to the Uffizi on time! ;-)

It was close to the market and the main attractions of Florence. The facilities were OK. The price was high but the best in the most overpriced and overcrowded city (except Debrovnik) iI have visited in Europe.
Very noisy early in the morning from market activity and its machinery after 3am. The lift started from the first floor and luggage had to be carried up the first floor. The beds and bathroom were tired.
