Great location right on Los Muertos beach. Easy walking distance to many restaurants. Large room with two large balconies and a great view of the pool and beach. Excellent cleaning by our room attendant Rosie. Friendly bell staff.

Very dated. It’s 2024 and wifi is near to non existent. It is only reliable in the lobby. Intermittent to non existent elsewhere. This not acceptable. Loungers at the pool are filthy and in poor condition. Expect a back ache if you are on them for any length of time. They are also quite the challenge to get out of. Some front desk personnel are rude. I was not given a room remote and air conditioner remote when checking in. As far as I knew they were already in t(e room. Young and rude man at checkout demanded there return. You must obey or you won’t get a ‘permission slip’ to leave. No really!

Overall we like the hotel. Our family have been going there for 20 years and we will go back.

The location is great. It right on the beach. Everyone was nice to us. Place is nice for the value. Beds were comfortable. This was our second trip here this year.

Our air keep going out and had to be fixed 3 times ( but they did fix it for us right away each time!). And a family member who didn’t stay on the property (because they didn’t have a room available) was told to leave when she was on the property looking for us. Not happy about the way she was treated.

We got switched the next day to a newer room but AC wasnt working well

Front desk looked nice.

We had reserved a king bed room superior and we got a 2 bedroom suite with full beds from the 80s design, nothing looked like the pictures online. Scratched walls, blood stain on bed comforter. The older lady in reception was stubborn and rude.

Muy mala experiencia, no regreso a hospedarme ni por trabajo ni por vacaciones, no recomiendo.

Ubicación Regular ya que esta retirado del centro, habitación ya muy vieja y no tiene lo básico para una estancia ejecutiva

instalaciones muy deterioradas, colcha muy vieja, no tenia plancha de ropa, atención en recepción muy agresiva ya que vas a descansar al hotel y no te reciben con amabilidad, te gritan y te exigen como si te estuvieran haciendo el favor de recibirte, el restaurant muy mal la comida, me llevaron el platillo de tiritas de pollo y carne con el 50% de cebolla, el frijol reseco todo el platillo frio, les dije que lo calentaran y me lo llevaron nuevamente con el plato caliente pero la comida fría, solicite la cuenta y solo me cobraron la bebida, me retire a cenar a otro restaurant

Very comfortable, great views, good value. and the pool was nice too!

Location was perfect! can walk to all the restaurants and beaches. Staff were very helpful and pleasent.

Having to get ice from the bar for the room. Just a bit inconvenient, would have been better to have a machine in the building where we stayed.

Disappointing

Location was pretty good and for its price, it was a decent value. They have their own beach section, two pools and the room was a nice size.

Room was a bit dated indeed, shower head didn't really work that well, missing part on the door in the inside, wifi pretty much doesn't work in the room, despite booking.com saying it has wifi. Toilet faces the sink and it was just not a good location for it. Bed was overly firm, no springs and pretty stiff. All 3 elevators were quite narrow too.

Nice grounds and great location but...

The pool and the beach access

The rooms were very outdated, the food was ok at its best. There was a random step exiting our bathroom and my daughter fell and badly scrapped her elbow and sprained her foot. The front desk staff was very unhelpful. They doubly charged us and didn't want to refund the extra charge. We will need to go through our credit card now. A whole bunch of ppl staying at the hotel were bringing speakers to the beach or pool and making it just incredibly hard to enjoy the space, and staff didn't care. This was our second time at the Tropicana and will definitely be our last.

Breakfast good value but not included in price. Room was quite dated and bare bones. No coffee pot, etc. but for price paid fair. Views were great from room. Staff was fantastic. All friendly and accommodating.

They need to update the rooms. They were clean but last Reno probably 1980’s.

Would only stay there again if there was no alternative.

The location was excellent. The common areas were great. The staff were nice. My room was big, but dated.

When I arrived, the receptionist tried to palm me off with an ordinary room without sea view and only by insisting and showing a paper copy of the booking, he gave me the superior room I had paid for. Why would he do that? The room was big, but very dated. The furniture was battered, the bathroom was tired and old. Thankfully the shower had good water presure.
