the rooms at this hotel are tiny! not like the photos which, while representative of the furniture and room appearance etc, belie the size of the room: beds are very small too as is most of the furniture giving you the impression in the photos this is a normal size room. you have to walk sideways to reach your bed or exit the room or head to the bath!
i wanted to cancel after seeing the room, but never could reach booking.com except the chatbot despite spending over 1 hour on phone waiting for the 'live' agent. made two calls and was hung up on the 1st. then gave up after waiting 45 mins on hold on the second. all the information is written acurately on the booking.com website when you study it closely ie)room size 15 m2, city tax and extra parking charge in the fine print: BEWARE AND READ THE FINE PRINT CAREFULLY on booking.com; Also you are on your own wrt booking.com: there is no one to actually help you unless the fakely empathic but useless chatbot is a satisfactory solution for you.
the manager the next morning approached me & accused me of being aggressive, impolite or something to the check in clerk, very strange confrontation. i merely wanted to cancel the reservation and was displeased with the situation where the hotel could do nothing per them. The manager was very defensive about her hotel and stated that everything was clearly described on the booking.com website; arguably it is, but really not readily apparent to the distant weary traveler who is expecting a normal standard room which it seems to be based on viewing the provided photos. in the end my main beef is with booking.com who should have been available to change my reservation at a 6-7pm on check in but were not reachable with reasonable effort. i had booked the hotel on the website only a few mins before ck in. the property manager confirmed her own difficulties with reaching someone at booking.com: this is not the service we should become accustomed to nor accept as customers!
