Amazing place, full of history. The villa itself is beautiful and full of character. The staff members and the owners could not do enough for you and responded to every question we asked. The family history and history of the villa is amazing!
Breakfasts were fabulous, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, olives. Cold cuts of meat, fresh foccacia and Nonnas handmade coconut cake was superb, a proper coffee machine for a decent cup of coffee.
The swimming pool was in the old style orangery, and was always cold which was just what the doctor ordered after the sweltering heat of the day. There is also a table tennis table.
Its location is minutes away from Lucca and other fabulous places if you are the exploring type.
Beds are very comfortable.
If you get a chance, stay here. We will be back.

I loved everything about the property, the wonderful hosts, the magical vibe of faded elegance, the charm and character, the beautiful setting, the frogs singing in the evening, the wonderful recommendations for restaurants, breakfast on the terrace … we didn’t want to leave !
