Escape to this family-friendly cabin near Shaver Lake and reconnect with the mountains! Up to 10 are welcome at this cozy home, where a spacious deck offers guests a chance to breathe in the pine scent and simply relax. The family dog is also welcome to join you for an additional nightly fee. Fishermen and women flock to Shaver Lake for its abundance of Rainbow Trout and other specimens - start your angling adventure at the marina a little over four miles away. In winter, China Mountain's ski slopes are within about 21 miles of this cabin, an easy day trip. Young visitors might be especially pleased with the bunk bed accommodations. The chef of the group can take ownership of the full kitchen here, complete with an oven, fridge, stove, and microwave. Four TVs and free WiFi ensure everybody stays connected during your trip to the mountains. A private washer and dryer make post-ski laundry less daunting. Book this lovely Shaver Lake cabin for your family's next mountain excursion! *All same day bookings must be made through the local office between the hours of 8:30am-5:00pm PST. For same day bookings, please contact Vacasa. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The nightly fee ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Stayed at Paws Cabin in December with our family. Cabin was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Plenty of extras for cooking, grilling, and board games for family fun. Highly recommend!

Best I’ve rented so far and I rent a lot, the only things I had an issue with was starting a fire and using the Keurig , they provide newspaper to start the fire but even seasoned fire starting individual had a very difficult time starting a fire . The main reason was the lighter provided was completely empty I reached out to Vacasa and they took forever to respond once they did they told me someone would take me a lighter that day, they never came ! When I ask for an update I was told someone would drop one off the following day but to estimate of a time, Mind you that was a big selling point for me in this property so that was very disappointing, I expressed that to Vacasa and all they could say was “Sorry, we know this is not what you expected” and that was that. Fire starters are not expensive at and suggest providing at least one would be very helpful and save people like us 2 hours of our trip in trying to start a fire with just newspaper.
The Keurig, I own one and use one everyday I assumed it was the same but the one at the property allowed all the coffee grounds into the coffee, not good at all.

The house was clean and spacious. We loved the large windows and the kit hen was very functional. The stairs do not have a railing that goes the entire length, so if someone in your party requires ADA accessibility be prepared. When we arrived the battery for the door code needed to be replaced, and we were able to speak with Vacasa help center to get access to a key, but it was a little challenging because the help center people aren’t as familiar with the specific home because Vacasa manages a lot of rentals. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

The Thermostat did not go above 68 degrees however that was the perfect temperature as the home gets pretty warm especially in the bedrooms. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Shaver Lake.

My family and I booked a last minute cabin for our kiddos 3-day weekend. The cabin was beautiful however, there were a few things we did not like. The porch is a bit small, we did have our family dogs with us and wished they had a bit more space to roam around. The kitchen wasn't well stocked. There was a limited amount of cookware. We've stayed at other cabins that are way more equipped. A major complain was that there was no mop considering that the entire bottom of the cabin is title flooring. Upon arrival one of the kiddos spilled water and we had to use napkins to clean it up. They did have what looked like a steam Shark vacuum but nothing to use for quick clean ups. It's best to come well prepared with kitchenware and spices when booking this cabin. Other than those few inconveniences the cabin and location were great!

We found alot ants everywhere in the house, and spiders also one of my kids got bite during the night on the ear , all the beds sheets were dirty and smelly the sofas are very dirty nasty and the carpets smelled orine other than that was good

Home was super spacious, enough pots and pans to do the most basic of cooking. Nice Quiet area. Ample parking. Nice front and back patio. WIFI is really good. Stove is not gas, it's electric, that did suck. Propane for grill needed to be refilled. Beds seemed alot smaller than stated. Have a king bed at home and the one advertised was alot smaller. Downstairs bathroom toilet has issues when you flush the chain is way too long and gets caught on itself, had to adjust just to get it to stop flushing. Biggest issue was ants and later spiders, when contacted customer support they pretty much just told me to deal with it. Sad to hear as I've never had a bad experience with Vacasa. This is our 4th time booking with them and first time ever reaching out for help and were ignored.

Nice winter stay
This was our second time staying in Paws Cabin. The home is spacious and in a great location. We stayed in winter both times and the heater takes a bit to warm up so we were all freezing when we arrived. The house cleaners did a good job but the home is in need of a deep cleaning. The carpets and rugs smelled like urine.

Great location!
The cabin was spacious and clean and cozy and we absolutely loved the location because there was lots of open land nearby for the kids to play in the snow. We had a wonderful winter snow experience and the cabin worked great for two families and our pups.

Well equipted home
Went to visit over the Christmas holiday. Received over 3 ft of snow. The home comes with a snow plow subscription so we were able to get out smoothly with the help of the snow plow to clear the driveway. Currently, you can only fit one car in the garage. The other space is taken with the patio set. Otherwise, quiet location and close drive to the lake and China Peak. The pictures are accurate and all the furniture was comfortable. All the appliances were in working condition.

Main first floor bathroom needs attention to shower door...very difficult to open...... but will plan on staying again with family! Very nice quiet location... only one garage door was able to be opened, would be great to use entire garage, tho...
