This cabin is perfect for families!! It is very spacious. The set up of the bedrooms works really well if traveling with kids or other couples/families as each room has it’s own bathroom. All the amenities you will need; including sleds for the snow! It’s only a quick drive to town and is located in one of the best areas in Shaver. Will definitely be renting again!

Stayed here with my husband and family. House was in a nice location, not far from the lake. The layout of the house was great and I loved that each bedroom had an attached bathroom. Other than that, the cabin wasn’t great. One of the amenities listed in the site was internet service. We had no internet the entire stay, so we couldn’t watch any tv or work from laptops. When we called customer service, they were unhelpful to say the least and honestly a bit rude. They sent someone to the house to try and resolve the internet issue (unannounced) and he wasn’t able to do anything. One of the toilets was also clogged the majority of our stay. The listing picture showed a fireplace in the living room but when we tried to turn it on, the fuse would spark. So no fire either. We made the best of our stay, but it was nothing special, and very irritating that we had to contact customer support to many times in our vacation. Would not rent again!

We had a bike race at shaver lake and this place was perfect for the stay. Our only issue was the refrigerator froze our food, which was inconvenient when we came home to cook. Other than that it was great! Would def stay there again!

The property overall was great. The enclosed deck made it easy to take my dog out in the middle of the night.
The only complaint was the heating. I don't know if the timer was set incorrectly but we froze in the middle of the night even with attempting to adjust the thermostat.

Neighborhood and house layout was great and as expected. Overall experience was ok, but many issues with things not working: no warm water or Wi-Fi first night; pellet stove never worked; one shower had major leak entire stay; lament floors were very dirty.

The house and neighborhood are absolutely beautiful. The rooms are thoughtfully laid out for maximum occupancy without feeling crowded and Vacasa’s customer service was exceptional.

It was in an good location. We had a convenient area behind the cabin for kids to play in the snow. Kitchen was pretty stocked. Some board games we’re available for the family to enjoy. There was a lot of ice on the balcony from a recent snowstorm making it difficult to enjoy. Not easy to break the ice. The wifi info we were given was not correct so went without wifi. Not a clean as would have hoped. When we swept we gathered a lot of pet hair. We found pet hair on our clothes after sitting on the couch. Shower knobs not easy to use. Not the end of the world but we shouldn’t need to try so hard to enjoy a place.

We usually spend a week at an RV park at Wishon Reservoir, however, I was having issues with my truck and could not pull my RV and had to make short notice plan changes. This home was a great alternative. It was a little further away from the places we like to hunt, but, the home was nice and in a beautiful area. It had all the amenities we needed and plenty of room for my family. There was an issue with the WiFi when we arrived, I called the help number and less than an hour after I called a service person arrived and fixed the issue in just a few minutes.
The location is great for recreation of all types, the lake is just a few minutes away, hunting and fishing are very close and for skiers, Sierra Summit and China Peak are not far.
There are a number of good restaurants very close.

Overall a very nice cabin in a great location . Kitchen was well stocked but bring things like foil, napkins and extra papertowels. Great deck and barbeque.
The floors are very slippery including the stairs. Also stairs to front door and deck are steep and deck is high with space in rails for a toddler or small dog to slip through and fall. It was nice they were dog friendly and the place did not smell like previous pets! If someone in your party has mobility issues or if you have a wild toddler this may not work for you.
We never were able to connect with wifi, but we had a hotspot so it was fine.

Arrived at midnight on Thursday night. Door knob from garage to house came off in my hand. Could not lock door. Unloaded food …kitchen was dirty. Crumbs on floor etc. went to bed. Had a 3 hour drive so we just crawled into bed. On Friday morning we called the property manager and she sent over 2 cleaning ladies. They cleaned the house, mopped floors dusted etc. it was bad. Mind you I wasted my entire day Friday with the cleaning people. I could have gone out in my kayak, but no. The cleaning ladies did give me 15 extra bath towels., so I could spread them out on the upstairs bathroom floor when I showered. The showerhead was broken and water flew out over top of the doors and sprayed water all over the bathroom. A maintenance person did not exist and I went the whole weekend sopping up the bathroom floor. Then, when you thought things couldn’t be worse…..it got worse. My sister, her husband and their kids (one 4 years old and the other 1 1/2 ) arrived. My sister went to put the kids down for a nap after their 3 hour drive. . The sheets were dirty. All 6 beds downstairs had dirty sheets. I went to check the bed upstairs, where I slept the night before, DIRTY SHEETS. I slept in someone else’s dirty sheets. We called the property management and they were going to send over clean sheets(I guess they wanted us to make the beds). Guess what? Nobody brought clean sheets. Things now went from really bad to extra really bad. One shower downstairs did not even work. Not a drop of water. The other downstairs shower had hardly any pressure and to go along with that…luke warm water. We were on the phone with the property management people and I guess they really didn’t care. No clean sheets, broken door knob (which of course had to be downstairs where the kids and their parents were). My sister was not happy that the door did not lock, safety issue. The weekend sucked. It really was disappointing. I wasted all of Friday, and my money. They did offer to move us to another residence. However we had already unpacked. You know how much stuff gets dragged along on a trip when you have little kids? We didn’t move because we would have wasted more hours packing up and unpacking again. But guess what ? They waived our cleaning fee. Whoop woo! They acted like it was the biggest gift ever. Sad because it was my first time using VRBO and I will never use it again. Summary: wasted my money and money. Crappy weekend

Perfect for a large family or mash up of two smaller families. Bathrooms in each bedroom are a big plus. Perfect for family time, watching movies together or sitting on the deck enjoying the forrest. We even saw a deer cruise by. Very quiet street. Well maintained and clean. I hope they will welcome us back next year!

We loved the location, perfect neighborhood and very quiet. But the main issue for us was that there was no AC. The living quarters are upstairs so the house was hot in the afternoons and evenings, since there was a heat wave this week. In the evenings, it was cooler outside but then you had to deal with mosquitos. There were some handyman-type issues with the house. The front screen door does not lock, installation issue. When we got there it wouldn’t even close but Vacasa came out and got it to forcibly close, but still not lock. It needs to be reinstalled. One of the sliding doors would not open, because it was off track. On our third day there, they came out and fixed that. Some of the windows don’t have screens or they fit with gaps between them and the window so you can’t open them (mosquitos, bugs). All of these issues contributed to the warm house temperatures (up to 86 degrees) because we weren’t able to help get the cool air in once it finally cooled outside. The bottom two bedrooms were quite a bit cooler than the upstairs floor. We would stay here again if these issues are taken care of but not in the summer due to unpredictable heatwaves.

No bath soap or blow dryer. They furnished 1 garbage bag. The house was clean but not organized. I would of never thought to look under bar for toddler games.
