Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Our family of 10 stayed for 3 nights for a family Christmas get together and had a wonderful time! The cabin was very spacious and there was plenty of room for everyone! We loved the open floor plan so that we were always together when we were preparing meals and playing games! Everyone had a lot of fun upstairs in the game room with plenty of space for adults and kids to play, and sit and socialize altogether! The bedrooms were very spacious with plenty of bathrooms for everyone! The huge outside deck was a great addition along with the walking trail through the forest! The only suggestion we could say that would make this cabin really standout would be to repair the pool table felt that is all ripped up, the Air Hockey table has a hole in it and needs to be replaced. There is a large cabinet in the kitchen that has no face on it and needs to be repaired and the main bathroom has no handle for the shower. Overall, we felt these were minor compared to everything this cabin has to offer, so we still gave it 5 stars! We would definitely stay here again!

Overall, the property was nice and clean. Just some minor things on the floor. Beds were comfortable then most places we have stayed. One thing I will say is that a lot of the stuff in the kitchen were broken and not able to be used. Another thing is that the games including the pool table were ripped and broken. The furniture is old and I recommend that it gets updated for future stays. Furthermore, it was stated that the kitchen was fully stocked with spices but it was not. Finally, I would say the fire place was the best thing in the house! It was super warm and kept us nice and cozy.

There was a bit of a termite/burnt problem in the back porch bench area which ended up falling after being sat on, and the grill is broken in some of the gas lines made it difficult to cook but made the best of it. Missing blender cup, we ordered one on instacart and left it at the cabin for future stays. We enjoyed our stay but there needs to be lots of upgrades : grill, pool table, shuffleboard table needs more of the sand .

I believe the house has a lottt of potential, sadly, I found my stay a lot uncomfortable. The sofa sets are very outdated so it has a lot of wear and tear, kinda dirty. During the day, it was extremely hot, and the air conditioning didn’t work upstairs. The TV in the living room didn’t work. The place has a tone of potential, but for the amount of money I paid, I was expecting to be comfortable on my vacation. No AC is a no no for me at 80 degrees weather and small children.

Great Stay! No regrets.
This place is super nice, cozy, and it was very clean when we arrived. The views are insane and there is a trail in the back that is beautiful. The place is much bigger than I originally thought from looking at the pictures. We had the maximum number of guests and there was plenty of room. Getting to the actual lake took about 7 minutes. We had a great time, would definitely come stay here again. Highly recommend.

Lovely home! Large and spacious. Heater was blowing only cold air, contacted Vacasa, they responded immediately, the next morning, someone came out first thing in the morning, and fixed it.

This home was the perfect location to allow our kids unlimited access to snow, and enjoy the beauty of Shaver! Close enough if you need to go into town, but far enough out to enjoy peace and quiet. Plenty of amenities and room for everyone! We can’t wait to come back.

I called and they sent someone to fix it. After that it worked great! Besides that the house is spacious and beautiful.

Didn’t expect such poor maintenance & false advertising.
1. Advertised grill in the ad - When reported issue, got msg that’s it’s non functional. Mentioned in msg it will be checked but none showed up.
2. Broken window glass & shower handle. Not sure if they had kept them broken in case to plan to collect as damage charges. Reported these findings in vrbo app
3. Couch, carpets are so dirty. Atleast shampoo’ed now and then.
4. Those carpets end are trip hazards. Not properly glued.
5. Kids bed room is super super hot. This room needs some window so it can be opened to allow fresh air. Too bad.
6. Knives are no sharp. Some of those couldn’t even cut an onion.
Don’t know what kind of property maintenance. And everyone has fees to charge in your booking and they simple want to make money. Seems to use just vacuum & give to next guests. Not sure why they collect so much in cleaning fees.
We just saw the rating & pictures. Didn’t read previous reviews posted a year back about hot kids room, dirty carpet etc. else wouldn’t have booked it. Unfortunately these platforms are so bad, not like hotel they offer different room on complaints. Your money was taken way in advance; so it’s not worth their time to put effort in fixing. People are anyways booking and they making money; so who cares.
If you are someone with no kids, don’t use kitchen, just sleep & get out it should be ok. If you plan to use kitchen, grill, have kids etc. check something else. Don't recommend this place.
Only one thing was good - Pool table & other game tables for kids. So one star is justifiable. It wasn’t worth to paying heft amount they collected for 3 days of the long weekend for this poorly maintained, unventilated, false advertised and unclean furniture/carpets.

We absolutely loved this home! We have been to Shaver so many times either camping at Camp Edison or renting a different house every year. But I think we finally found the house that we want to make our traditional summer rental. I brought my family (spouse and 4 children), my in-laws, and my sister-in-law and her son. The house more than accommodated all of us. My cousin and his family rented a house 4 houses down from ours and we were able to get together every night for dinner and drinks. The location was PERFECT! A BEAUTIFUL neighborhood. A hiking trail is literally behind the house and we used it everyday to either hike or go down to my cousin's rental. There are even "Harry Potter" rooms (what my kids called them) upstairs. The kids loved playing hide-n-go-seek. It was a quick drive to town and an easy drive to the lake. We were able to get a wet-slip and store our boat at Sierra Marina. This house and its location was just perfect. I would only have 2 suggestions, but obviously these aren't complaints because we will definitely be booking this house next summer. The first would be the kitchen organization and lack of cups. My family and I LOVE to cook and nothing was organized. I felt like we were opening up a million cubbards everyday trying to find things. And there just were not enough cups for everyone. We had to go buy red solos at the market. The 2nd would be the game area upstairs. My kids had a blast playing up there but one of the main reasons we rented this house was for the shuffleboard table. We LOVE to play shuffleboard and I don't know what was wrong with it but the pucks would not slide. We were so disappointed. It obviously didn't ruin our trip, but I'm hoping by the next time we rent this house it will be fixed or replaced. And the chairs upstairs had many rips with the stuffing coming out and rips in the pool table felt. BUT, other than those few things this house was a dream. I recommend this house 110%.
