The town of Shaver Lake is two miles from the home, perfect for if you're looking for a retreat that's still close enough if you're craving some Strawberry Basil Cobbler from Seasons Bistro and Tavern. Shaver Lake itself (if you're going the way of Dorabelle Picnic Site) is just shy of a mile away. If you decide to head to Camp Edison Day Use Beach, you'll be just over four miles away from this home. Be sure to visit the Central Sierra Historical Society on the weekends to learn about the area, just over three miles away! THINGS TO KNOW HBO, Showtime and the Movie channel are also provided. *The fireplace uses Duraflame/Presto logs only. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. loved having different “zones” to accommodate the family, Downstairs room with a pool table, family room, nice deck and large lower patio! would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful, spacious home in wonderful area! Game room was a BIG hit for adults and the kids. Kitchen well stocked, all bathrooms had a shower or tub/shower combo and living room was cozy. Nice outdoor grilling area. Plenty of space for sledding behind the house. Beds had linens and plenty of towels in bathrooms.
Would have given 5 stars however, house was freezing when we arrived, we couldn't get heater to come on. Had to call maintenance to figure it out, they had trouble too, but finally got it to work. TV had very few stations and not very good reception. Overall, I would recommend this home and would definitely stay again!

Home was generally good. Loved the 4 individual rooms, each with a queen bed. Great for 4 friends or 4 couples. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and appliances worked well. Space in the living room was average but acceptable. TV got very few stations and reception was poor.. On the downside some of the kitchen cabinets faces were in need of repair, one nearly falling off. Windows dont open all the way upstairs and no screens. From a service point of view not all the bathrooms had TP and probably worse is we paid for the linen/towel service assuming that meant the towels would be hung and beds made but apparently the means they just deliver the bag of linens and towels to the front door....you gotta make your own bed. That's suboptimal after a long drive or in our case 4 long days backpacking. I've never rented a home or condo before where I had to make my own bed on arrival. Oh, and just a side note. The beds are soft. Wont bother most folks but I like a good firm mattress.
