Situated in Arnold, this charming house for $175 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. A cabin with all the comforts of home! Everything you need, just come on up! Nice comfy cozy cabin in the Sierra's close to skiing, located in the Blue Lake Springs area in Arnold, CA. Whether you want winter fun, or a fun time during the warmer months, the cabin is the place for you to call home during your stay up in the mountains. The cabin is close to the small town of Murphy's which has excellent wine tasting rooms, music, great restaurants and shopping for all ages. It is also located just a mile from the Big Trees State Park which has wonderful hiking trails in amongst the beautiful redwoods. Just about 25 minutes up the mountain from the cabin is the ski area of Bear Valley. In Arnold you can rent skis, kayaks, snow boards, and more for all kinds of outdoor fun. In and around the cabin are many lakes and areas to picnic with the whole family or with your friends. Blue Lake Springs offers to our guests the use of their pool which opens seasonally at the end of May, swimming in their lake as well as tennis courts, and a very nice restaurant. What makes this cabin unique we love sitting out on the large deck during the warmer months, and in the winter I love just laying around in front of the fire and relaxing. There is so much to do in and around the area. So close for skiing, Big Trees State Park, Murphy's wine tasting rooms, pool, lakes, hiking, shopping and good restaurants. You'll have a great time any time of year. Wifi, cable tv for those stay in when it snows days. Property was great. Just a little hard to cool the place down to sleep, and the kitchen faucet is difficult. Otherwise, coffee and breakfast on the balcony was awesome.

Beautiful place. Great location. Only that coffee cups in the cabinet were dirty. I cleaned them all so they are clean for the next person that comes.

When we pulled up to the property, we had nowhere to park because the property had not been shoveled. We had to carry our belongings through 3-4ft of snow and park a half block away. Thankfully we are both able bodied or we would not have been able to make it from the street to the property. When I contacted the owner I was told that it was supposed to be shoveled. The patio was also totally covered in snow so we managed to shovel that and clear it. The next day, it still wasn’t cleared so we had to once again carry all of our belongings through the snow and out to the car.
Aside from this, it’s a nice rustic little place with a pretty view from the patio balcony.

First I will start with the positive, the location was beautiful. We wanted to take the kids to the snow since they had a day off from school. The cabin was clean though did have some dirty dishes inside the cabinet, likely no fault of the owner and we clean before we use anyway but some were extremely dirty.
Now the bad; we had to shovel the snow ourself to even be able to get into the driveway/entrance of the house. I’m not talking about a little bit of snow it was easily 3-4ft. We were told the day of that there was “somehow snow in the driveway and to be careful” I definitely was not expecting that much! There had been no fresh fallen snow and we booked about two weeks in advance not sure why this wasn’t taken care of. I had my 8 month old baby extremely dangerous. There was 1 shovel and we lucked out that a neighbor saw us and lended another shovel. I have carpel tunnel and was in lots of pain afterwards and during my stay. Shoveling the snow was not in our plans it took us over an hour just to be able to pull the car in, we then had to rush to dinner by the time we were done it was dark and the kids couldn’t even play in the snow the first day, such a waste! We shoveled for over an hour! If I was told earlier (than the day of and how much) I would have easily cancelled. I had to keep following up to see if anyone was coming and apparently they were all “busy”
The next day the kids did get to play in the snow so that was nice me and my husband are not used to snow and were sore the next day but I guess we at least got a workout?? I guess the price paid was for the cabin only, not safe access to get inside.

Nice home located 5 minutes to big trees and 45 to Bear Valley, comfortable for a larger family. Outside BBQ was a nice touch .

We had another wonderful time at this awesome cabin! We love it in the winter and summer, as the Blue Lake Springs location is ideal for lake fun at Blue Lake or White Pines and skiing at Bear Valley. The cabin has comfy beds and lots of room for everyone to spread out. The kitchen is well stocked and we especially appreciate the washer and dryer. It’s always very clean and Anand is great to work with. He responds quickly and is very helpful.
The area has tons of activities and we just love it! We can’t wait to return!!

Stayed here after a concert in Murphys. Very cute place! The road is a little tricky to navigate in the dark but it's a great place. There is a nice deck out back to watch the stars. I would stay here again.

Very cosy and comfortable cabin. Perfect for our group of two adults, two boys (12 &15) and my mother (75). Lovely location in beautiful Blue Lake Springs. Cabin is very comfortable and has all the amenities albeit in need of a bit of TLC (starting to get a bit worn) but this didn’t bother us. We had a great time up at Lake Alpine hiking, and also used the lake and facilities down in BLS although you have to pay $15 per person even with the cabin membership card. We also experienced an 8-hour power outage which was a bit tricky - we were very relieved when power was brought back on! Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely stay here again!

We loved the absolute quiet in the surrounding neighborhood. The rental was the perfect size and although there were only two of us, it could easily accommodate 6 people. Also, the location was only one mile from the Big Trees Park, plus only two miles from the little town of Arnold. We enjoyed our three days there so much!

Cabin was very comfortable and clean. All the comforts of home. Although me and my guests believe it may be slightly haunted... alarms going off for no reason, seasoning packets flying from one part of the counter to another, someone said they heard voices in the pantry... but after an offering we felt comfortable. It was very nice that the host left a guest pass for the resort. Excellent communication with host. Great value for price! Only wish I reserved it for longer.

Anand is a fantastic host. Emails were responded to within an hour (most of the time less than 15 minutes). The location of the cabin was perfect for us. Our main reason for being there was its close proximity to both the Calaveras Big Trees Park and the Arnold Rim Trail. Both great places to hike.
Just a caution, we had no cell service in and around Arnold where the cabin is located. Internet connection was no problem, so text messages were an option as well as email. Also, the cabin is in a development, so make sure you have your directions in your navigation device. Once we got to Arnold, we had no service on our cell phones. Luckily we had looked at a map of the complex before we left, so we found the cabin.
