Wonderful hotel: friendly, helpful staff, great location, fabulously comfy bed, great vibe. Nothing was too much trouble. Record player in each room and a record library to borrow from. My teenage daughter especially loved it.

Loved the style of the hotel.
Bed was really comfortable, shower good pressure. Location great. Love that you can really open the windows and get airflow.
Reception staff super friendly and responsive. I left something behind and despite quite a few hurdles, the reception team stayed the course and helped me get it back.
I booked Jams mostly for two reasons - location and air conditioning (was v hot). I was thus really disappointed to discover that only some rooms have a/c and mine didn't. The reception team did offer to provide a portable unit but did warn they aren't very quiet so I just opened the window. Clearly stating that only some rooms have a/c in the booking process would be good.

Great location, nice property overall, nice decor, had lots of potential but we had a number of issues which unfortunately bring the scores down (and I don’t normally like doing that).
So in our room the sink was not draining properly which is never nice to see, the safe did not work which isn’t ideal when travelling (valuables/passports etc), the supposed ‘air con’ solution was poor (and was not even provided to my sons room), plus whilst the staff in general (including reception and the evening bar) were good and did all they could, the service for breakfast was not, a clearly stressed hostess did not make us feel welcome and then service was extremely slow.
