Located only 2 blocks from the famous Broadmoor Hotel and a half block from Cheyenne creek. Deer and other wildlife visit the property often. You are minutes away from all amenities, yet secluded in the beauty and serenity of Cheyenne Canyon. This beautiful 1300sf cottage furnished with many antique and historic pictures from Colorado Springs colorful past. Beautiful stone fireplace with electric fireplace heater. Two bedrooms, full bathroom, dining room with seating for 6, good sized living room, enclosed sun porch, 5 person Hot Tub, BBQ grill, porch swing and table/chairs await you on the back porch. The living room hosts a 55' Smart TV, DVD player and a DVD movie library! Blue tooth sound bar. The kitchen is equipped with modern stainless steel appliances and is well stocked providing a Toaster Oven, Microwave, Blender, Griddle, Rice Cooker, Spice Rack, Coffee Pot, Pots/Pans, Plates/Glasses, utensils and much more! Washer and dryer in basement. Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate, Creamer, Sugar and sweetener provided. The master bedroom has a king size oak sleigh bed with a new mattress, night stand and dresser. Bedroom 2 has a full size antique bed with new mattress and Twin bed. Bedrooms are equipped with alarm clocks with USB charging port for your cell phone or tablet. Living room has a new queen sofa sleeper with an upgraded memory foam mattress. Twin Sofa sleeper. From the property you can hear musical bells from the Will Roger's Shrine and historical churches. Cheyenne Cañon offers hiking, horse back riding, world class mountain biking and dirt bike riding on its numerous trail systems and the infamous Captain Jacks Trail. Stratton Open Space Preserve is just a block in half away! You will find trail maps of Cheyenne Cañon and of the Colorado Springs area of local trails and historical books of the area. The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Will Rogers Shrine, Seven Falls, and Helen Hunt Falls are just up the road. Experience world class golf courses Blocks away. This charming property is just delightful. The cottage is well maintained and nicely furnished. It provided a cozy and comfortable setting for our Thanksgiving dinner and vacation. The host is welcoming and very responsive to guest questions. We enjoyed learning about the rich history of Captain Jack & Colorado Springs thanks to the reading materials available in the home. Very clean and well kept in a quite neighborhood. Deer would show up around 3:45 every afternoon for their walk around the neighborhood. Hot tub made for a very nice place to relax and the beds were beyond comfortable. Very nice place to come back to after running around all day. Would definitely recommend!!!

This is an amazing little cottage! The neighborhood is a beautiful. Right at the mouth of Cheyenne canyon. It is super clean and the private hot tub was used frequently. I definitely recommend staying here. I will certainly stay again.

Curtis provided all the amenities necessary for a pleasant stay. The hot tub was great after a long day of walking at USAFA. The yard deer were a bonus. Would stay with our family again.

We really enjoyed out stay in Captain Jack's Cottage. The house was well furnished and very clean. We enjoyed the coffee setup and the treats that awaited us in the refrigerator. The hot tub was very nice use in the evenings. If we return to CS we will be booking Captain Jack's again.

Location location location!! This house is right in the middle of everything we wanted to do. Owner was great at communicating with us throughout the rental and during our stay. Nothing but great things to say about the owner and the location.

Second time staying at this property. Shorter visit this time but it was just as nice and just as convenient as the first time. Great, quiet location but still close to all the action. Great central location for all the attractions in Colorado Springs. Curtis is great to work with and makes it very easy to feel right at home when you walk in. Even the water pressure is great! Hot tub is a great bonus as well! I hate to have to do laundry on vacation but I hate it even more to have to do it all when you get home so the laundry room is perfect!

Cute older cottage with lots of great details. Owner with an attention to details for their guests. Location was perfect. We were 5-15 minutes away from pretty much everything we needed or wanted to do. Vey clean and the king bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend.

This property is amazing, it’s perfectly placed within 20 min of everything you need. It also has a hot tub which is perfect for the avid hiker who needs to soak sore muscles. We will stay here again.

This is a nice old home, very well maintained, with a nicely updated (and well stocked) kitchen. It is typical of the Cheyenne Canon area, which we like….homes are smallish and fairly close together, but neighborhood is quiet. Don’t be surprised when deer come by !
