Superb

Wonderful location overlooking lake Atitlan. Lovely room with a lake view and a fireplace (but since it was warm we didn't bother with it). Very kind and helpful staff. Great coffee. The village is peaceful and authentic, with few tourists. San Lucas Toliman is a short pleasant boat ride away and has a great local market on market days. Parking out front was safe and convenient.

Underwhelming food options. It was a windy night and the fiberglass roof rattled like crazy, making a lot of noise.

Terribly Disappointing

The food we had was good but the coffee was extremely weak. The cappuccino was very good but overpriced for a tiny cup. Staff was friendly and the view from the room was lovely.

I understand that the hotel is in transition and some areas have been renovated. Some of the rooms may be very nice; however, the room we were in was horrible in terms of cleanliness and housekeeping (garbage left in the shower, dust, cobwebs and dead bugs, toilet seat not clean). I had to wipe down all the surfaces we were going to use. I always bring cleaning wipes along in case they are needed. It was a long climb up to our room through a labyrinth of walkways and stairs. The room also smelled musty and had a strong odour of cat spray. When I mentioned the condition of the room, I was told that the staff had been very busy and probably didn't have the time to clean the room properly, which is an extremely poor excuse for someone trying to run a hotel. If you can't clean it, don't book it. They also didn't offer any compensation in the way of a free meal or even a free beverage - nothing.

it was ok.

the lake view was amazing.

water/ electricity was shut off early, there was no toiletries setup as other hotels have everything setup in the room before you arrive, no firewood for the fireplace to keep the room warm.

Charming and peaceful.

Charming one of a kind hotel. Has amazing views and staff is family and treats you like one. Some interesting innovations in the works so we plan to return and check them out.

Perfect Christmas stay

All the staff were super friendly and hospitable! We stayed here for Christmas time and it was the best decision we made. Just a massive thank you to everyone at Hotel Nuestro Sueňo again 😀

What a trip this place is. A big beautiful maze!

Our room was amazing. It has one of the best bathtubs I've ever seen, in the corner with a view of the lake. There was a cozy fireplace nearby. Cozy is a good adjective for this hotel in general. I went with my partner to celebrate and the whole thing was incredibly romantic. They upgraded our room and welcomed us in. The location is very convenient. Right near the docks and lake.

The service at the restaurant was a bit absent, we weren't sure who to talk to.

Amazing hosts, view, amenities!!!

Richard was super easy to communicate with. He was very welcoming, explained everything very clearly and went out of his way to help at every step. Our room had an amazing view of the lake, had a fireplace, a very comfortable shower, and the bed was amazing to sleep on. Everything in the room was done with care! The hotel has a sauna, steam room, and free kayaks available. They make meals in-house so if you want to have a relaxing time at the hotel, you don't have to go anywhere to eat. If you're trying to get to Panajachel, the staff can call for a cab or a tuk-tuk (you can also catch one outside) for a reasonable price and you will get the most beautiful ride around the lake. We felt very welcome in Hotel Nuestro Sueño and would happily come back.

Views of the lake. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere, with helpful staff. The village itself is nice too - not touristy, clean, and friendly locals.
