The staff were very customer focused and helpful. Charlie and Simon went out of their way to be helpful.
The hotel was clean, tidy and quiet. The car park was free to guests and always had space in.
The position of the hotel is good for what we needed.
The hotel advertised a restaurant with an evening menu. The restaurant was only open for breakfast. We picked the hotel because it had an on site restaurant. We were not informed the restaurant was closed in the evening before arrival. It appeared the restaurant had been closed in the evening for several weeks at least, so we could have been informed of this.
The hotel decor is very tired and heading towards neglect

Good location for our purposes, easy to find, good parking. Spacious comfortable room, with good sized ensuite. Very quiet. Good breakfast and comfortable bar area. Atentive and helpful staff. Particular thanks to Charlie. Two excellent Indian restaurants in the town centre; also highly recommend Fennel for quality of food and excellent friendly service.
Please note: the following is not the fault of the hotel staff. Despite what Booking.com and the hotel's website state, there has been since May no chef to provide lunches or evening meals. We were warned by the manager in advance of our stay that this is the case - but there is no excuse for misleading information of this sort appearing on either site. We made our booking in the expectation that we'd be able to have ur evening meals in the hotel should we have chosen so to do.

It was available and very reasonably priced. The staff in Ellie/Ella? And Charlie are great and these are the people that make stays great.
There’s not much to “not like” but it’s clear that this hotel needs some refurb work. Dont get me wrong my stay was good and the room was clean but it’s a little tired and it must be tricky in today’s climate £ and where you work in a highly seasonal industry. There is no restaurant BUT HEY 150 yards away is a fantastic Chippy and the staff will supply you with plates napkins and cutlery and of course a beer and you can sit in the restaurant area. Breakfast was very good. Back to the staff - they make this place.

Not much choice for cooked breakfast and sausages and bacon were over cooked, good location and nice room.
