Great location. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Lovely modern hotel, aesthetically pleasing. Rooms small but serviceable.

I requested a very early check in very early after a long, overnight flight. I was expecting a little pushback given it was early in the morning, but the staff behind the check in made it seem like no problem at all. My room was a basic double, the bed was extremely comfy and quiet at the back of the hotel, all I could hear were the seagulls. The wifi was also probably the best of any hotel I stayed in, and I've stayed in a lot of hotels for business purposes?
I also felt safe entering very late at night; there was a staff member with a clipboard that clarified my name and room number, even after scanning in with my room card for extra security. This could be potentially to deter late night and confused drinkers from passing out in the lobby or those that find a room key on the floor and try their luck.
Can't think of anything. It honestly exceeded my expectations for the price and I would recommend to others who want to stay in Newcastle.

Location was great. Cleanliness was good.
Fire alarm went off at 7.30 am and we exited the building to the rear following protocol. Unfortunately no one thought to come and check on us at the assembly point. We decided to go around to the front of the building to discover people eating breakfast. When we asked about the fire alarm at reception they simply said oh it was a false alarm 😡 How were we meant to know this as no one thought to come and check. False alarm or not they should have checked.
