Lines 1,2,3 Madrid Metro Sol Station. Commuters Trains Sol Station. Local bus stops. Taxi rank. 10 minutes walking to Spanish Triangle of Art. Prado Museum. Thyssen Museum, Reina Sofia Modern Art Center, Botanical Garden, Navy Museum, etc. 20 minutes walking to Retiro Park, Alcala Gate, Salamanca District, Serrano Street, Arqueological National Museum. Two bedrooms (one with double bed and one with two queen beds single), dining room and living room. The thing everyone should understand about this place is that Pedro (the owner) is not just renting you a place to stay. He is welcoming you to his home where he grew up and will make sure he is there to help you carry bags up the stairs and show you every detail about the beautiful apartment.
Because he is also a tour guide, Pedro will give you tips and directions to everything you need to spend a magnificent time in Madrid.
We loved the whole experience.

We stayed four nights here hosted by Pedro who was not only communicative through VRBO but also with me directlu upon our arrival in Madrid. He was at the apartment to welcome us. The apartment is on the 4th floor so you need to carry your luggage up and down the stairs. The apartment has a wondeful open view over the Plaza de la Provincia with the associated sounds of the streets and the aromas of the restaurant below. The French doors also house the portable airconditioner which worked well enough on the warmer days. The apartment was comfortable and the Wifi and bathroom worked well. The beds were fine although a bit thinner than we are used to. We did not use the kitchen to cook. We particularly liked the authentic styling and original touches of this home and with its separate bedrooms and living space, there is room to spread out. We had some rainshowers when we first arrived and watching from the balcony was excellent to see them sweeping across the rooftops. Being close to the Plaza Mayor (25 m away), there is enough hustle and bustle late into the evening but the noise was manageable and the mornings are quiet. This location is also very close to all kinds of food, drink and just a few minutes to several sights. Recommended when staying in Madrid and Pedro was an outstanding host.

The flat is in a superb location overlooking Plaza de la Provencia. We were lucky enough to be staying here during the Festival de San Isidro. Also, the morning we left there was pomp and circumstance surrounding the arrival of new ambassadors. We could see everything from our balcony. This flat was perfect for us ! Pedro was most accommodating and reached out prior our arrival to ensure an easy entry. Charming, old and original Spanish apartment 4 floors up as described. Space for both of us to relax after a day and a balcony to watch people go by. Appreciate the attention to detail and the lovely bottle of wine.

Right next to Plaza Mayor and walking distance of so much more. This flat was perfect for my 18 year old daughter and me. We hit Madrid all day and the came back to this comfortable flat at night where we could watch Madrid go to sleep from the balcon.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The location is outstanding for access to all major attractions and looks out from the fourth floor onto a small plaza with access to shops, transit, and restaurants. We had delicious dinners every night within a few blocks of the property and felt no need to travel further. Plaza Mayor is extremely close with dozens of places to eat and hang out. Also, just up the street is Mercado de San Miguel with the best collection of tapas bars that we found anywhere.
The property is older (I believe the owner said it dates back to 1880) but very charming and comfortable, and decorated in a Spanish style with many collectibles. There is no elevator or lift for four stories, but the owner was very attentive and helpful with our luggage, so there was no issue. He was extremely friendly and proud of the property - really went out of his way to make us feel at home. He was very flexible with any of our needs, responsive, and very hospitable. We recommend it highly for any visitors to Madrid!

Excellent location near Plaza Mayor
We were very pleased with our experience staying at this Vrbo. The location was excellent. We were able to walk to many of the places we wanted to see. The apartment was beautiful, clean, and had a wonderful view of Plaza de Provencia. The host was very kind and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Loved this place!!! Very nice owner who let us in a bit early. We gave it a 4 for cleanliness due to two items: dishes were not quite 100% clean and there were no top sheets so you had to cover yourself when sleeping with the comforter. But the bathrooms and kitchen were very clean and we felt very comfortable there. Location cannot be beat! Just to caution those who cannot do stairs- this is on the 4th floor which in the US we would say it is on the 5th floor (ground floors in Europe is floor zero). So there are 5 flights of stairs to climb to get to this place. Nice view of the plaza and it is air conditioned. I would definitely recommend this place to someone looking to get close to Plaza Mayor. It is right around the corner. There are restaurants within easy walking distance. The owner was very responsive and helpful. He answered any questions we had.

The apartment is situated in the heart of Madrid, which is perfect to explore the City. There are lots of nearby cafes, bars and restaurants, and it is close to the Metro which provides fast transport across the City.

Pedro’s excellent apartment is just as pictured on VRBO. Very colorful, very comfortable, had everything we needed for a 4 day stay. Feels like a real home. The location just around the corner from Plaza Mayor was perfect. A simple breakfast was provided and the WiFi was good. We enjoyed the little balcony, looking out at the activity on the plaza below . Pedro was very helpful, checking us in and showing us around the apartment. He had good advice about activities in Madrid. Renters should know that you have to walk up five flights of stairs to the apartment, which was not a problem for us. Gracias, Pedro!
