About this house rental
Located in South Haven, this lovely house for $445 per night is a great choice for your next trip. If you enjoy the beach, snowmobiling, bicycling, kayaking and fishing; the Black River Landing is your retreat. Our beautifully decorated and CLEAN home is perfect for a family vacation. The Black River Landing is nestled on a 1.8 acre property on the Black River. Opposite the Landing and across the river is the Kal-Haven Trail and nature board walk. You will surely enjoy the tranquil view. Less than 2 miles away are the gorgeous beaches, Downtown and the picturesque South Haven Pier. Whether you want a day of fun in the sun or a relaxing sunset, the beaches are just minutes away. For the snowmobiler or bicyclist, 1/4 mile from the Landing is the Kal-Haven Trailhead. Boats, jet skis, kayaks, bikes and scooters are available nearby for rent. Kayaks and canoes are welcome and can be beached on site. We do not have a dock at this time for boats and jet skis. While at the Landing, the kids can go fishing, enjoy a game of ping pong or badminton, or play on the swing set. If it’s raining outside, NO WORRIES, we have two 50 inch TVs to kick back and enjoy a movie, and yes, we have WIFI for your computers. Parents… pull up a seat on either the upper or lower deck, grab a drink, relax and enjoy! At night, gather up the S'more’s and hang out at the fire pit! We have plenty of firewood for you to use. The Landing has 3 bedrooms, 4 queen size beds, and two full bathrooms. The laundry room has a washer and dryer, iron, and ironing board. Your comfort and convenience are important to us. Our kitchen is supplied with a complete set of cookware and bakeware, dinnerware, coffee pots, stove/oven, refrigerator, and microwave, as well as linens. We installed a reverse osmosis system for drinking water. In the mudroom, we have a second refrigerator handy for your extra sodas, etc. Outside on the upper deck is a gas grill for those who enjoy barbequing and plenty of seating for family cookouts. The lower deck is a perfect place to escape the sun and enjoy the shade. It is furnished with comfortable pieces; perfect for an afternoon siesta. To accommodate the little ones, we have a collapsible crib with sheets and blankets, a high chair, portable playpen, baby bath, and child-proof dinnerware. We will provide 1 set of bedlinens and 4 pillowcases for each bed. Each guest will be supplied with 2 sets of bath towels. Also, coffee and sugar for your first-morning stay will be available. The charming South Haven downtown district is less than 3 minutes away for your dining and shopping pleasure. Walmart, Meijer, and fast-food restaurants are conveniently nearby. Plus, the local favorite, Sherman Dairy Ice Cream Bar, is just minutes away.

This is by far the nicest house I’ve rented in South Haven. The house was spacious, spotlessly clean, beautiful decor, comfortable living and dining areas and so much comfortable outdoor space! Views are beautiful and peaceful, access to the river for kayaking, great fire pit area, lots of games and recreation to entertain everyone when we weren’t at the beach or in town. Everything we needed was provided…small things like salt, pepper, sugar, coffee, paper towels, plenty of toilet paper are so nice to have already there. Laundry room with detergent and spot remover. Comfortable beds, soft sheets, extra blankets, plenty of soft, clean towels. 2 min drive to beach or town and 1 min drive to Meijer. I cannot say enough nice things about this house. We LOVED our stay, there were 8 of us and we had plenty of space! We didn’t want to leave! We will definitely stay here again!

We had a girls getaway with 6 ladies and a newborn and it was our first time in South Haven. We had a phenomenal stay! The spacious house allowed us to laugh and chat in various areas. We played games in the living room, hung out at the kitchen table while cooking a meal as a group, and enjoyed the top and bottom decks. The beds were very comfortable and everyone loved having such a beautiful home for our self care weekend. A friend brought her baby at the last minute, and she was so grateful that the house came with a pack and play, and other thoughtful touches for infants. We definitely will be back and want to stay longer!

My family and I absolutely loved staying in this house, the backyard was perfect for the kids, the house was very clean and we loved all of the extra spaces to relax and hang out after a fun-filled day out. It was our favorite house we have ever stayed out. Our only improvements would be that there was no broom and we ran out of toilet paper. Thanks so much, we really enjoyed every minute at this house!

Black River Landing was an awesome place for our ladies getaway! It was very spacious and everything about the house was just perfect. As each of us arrived and came in the door and looked around we said how beautiful it was and how great the amenities were. They had everything we needed and were great hosts!

Great property and near to downtown. Any trip to town was just a few minutes away. Large yard with swings and games. Fire pit was nice to have. House is full of necessary items to enjoy your stay. Family enjoyed our stay.

The house is stocked with all the amenities that made our stay effortless! The spacious kitchen and living space accommodated our group of 7 adults and one toddler with plenty of room to spare. The rooms are tastefully decorated, and the beds are comfy! The large deck off the back of the house and patio underneath was the PERFECT spot to enjoy river views and hang out. And, to top it off, the weather was PERFECT too! We've found our home away from home :) and hope to make it back again soon to meet up with our kiddos. Our stay at this property exceeded our expectations. The pictures do not do it justice. The house was extremely clean and ready for guests. There was plenty of towels, linens, games, outdoor seating and kitchenware available. Our family not only took advantage of the beach, Arvesta Farms water park and downtown shopping, but also the Black River in the back of the house. The kids and adults spent time fishing and we rented kayaks from Black River Tour company. We had a fire every night in the fire pit and played games in the large yard. The house is biking distance from the trail but driving distance from downtown and the large public beaches. There is a large grocery store just 2 minutes away. We would stay here again and recommend it for families.

Beautiful home and perfect location
We had a wonderful experience here, the location was perfect to get to town and the beach quickly. My son was able to fish in the backyard by the river which feeds into Lake Michigan and caught his first fish! Kids loved it. Beds were comfy. There were plenty of extra amenities and it made everything so much easier!

Huge yard for games!!
This was a great stay for 8 adults. The place was extremely clean and communication with the hosts was very easy and convenient. The best part for us was the giant back yard. We had tons of room to play tons of yard game throughout our stay. Highly recommended for those outdoor summer months!

We stayed here with 3 couples and it was a fantastic setup. The outdoor area was great for bags, games, and fires (but watch out for the goose poop!).. The inside was cozy but spacious and had everything we needed. We’d definitely recommend this property and may be back ourselves.

The home is very nice with many amenities available for our comfort. Spent most time out at the Beach, which is a very short drive away and really convenient if you would like to hop in the car for a quick sunset. The host were available for any questions we had and replied really quickly!
