I liked that the hotel was located just a short walk away from the castle park, which is the main attraction in Kassel. I also liked that the staff was very friendly and I got a very nice breakfast with quite a lot of choice for such a small hotel. The hotel also has a small parking located directly in front and it's free, which is excellent. The bathroom was alright, clean but old.
Firstly, when you go to this hotel, you NEED to go to the house opposite to it to even get the key. It was a bit annoying that I came there and couldn't go in, then I had to go to booking messages (which were also in German, despite my default booking language not being in German, but in English), then translate that to find out I have to go to the house next door, which by the way wasn't written anywhere around the entrance, then I had to ring there and there was no answer, then I had to call the property on the phone for a nice lady to come and give me the key, who by the way also didn't speak a word of English. Annoying, but the bad thing about that was that it was pouring rain and I couldn't do anything, since I just didn't know what I have to do, but to stand there and wait. Otherwise the room was pretty small, but alright, if it wasn't for the fact that there were no shutters or something to black out the windows, so it was bright very early in the morning. Everything is also quite old and the doors to the room closed with a little bit of light still shining through them on all sides. I guess that's just the German prices and the location, otherwise this was definitely quite pricy for what you get.
