This updated, upscale detached duplex is on one of the nicest streets in the coveted Lantern Village! Walk to the harbor, restaurants, bars, the Ocean Institute, fantastic beaches and parks, Baby Beach, the marina, and the charter whale watching boats as well as the Catalina Express Boats. And, the charming beach town of San Clemente and Laguna Beach are right next door. Let the fun begin. LOCATION! LOCATION. With almost 2600 sq ft., you; will have the luxory of having two homes for the price of one large home. This set up is great for families and other parties who want to share the experiences of the Dana Point area, but want to also enjoy their own place. With a total of five bedrooms, four bathrooms, two kitchens, three decks, parking for five cars, and two living rooms, we think your family/group will enjoy the convenience and privacy of this unique set up. The lower level condo is all on one level with NO steps except a small step at the entry. Inside you will be greeted with a recently remodeled two-bedroom, two bath residence with a super large private deck with ocean view. The master boasts a Cal King bed and a over-sized shower. The guest bedroom features a comfy queen-size bed and a desk area for your personal work space. The well-equipped kitchen is set up for cooking full meals and has a new dishwasher, gas range, microwave, and lots of cabinets and storage. A queen sofa sleeper is in the living room and we also have a pack n play for babies and toddlers as well as a high chair. The upper condo was totally gutted in 2016 and everything was replaced. This condo looks like new and features an outstanding kitchen, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two private decks, and a contemporary living room with French doors, crown moldings, and a gas fireplace. Both decks have ocean view with the larger deck off master bedroom. The master bath has a huge custom shower and mirrored closet doors with custom built ins. The second guest room has a queen size bed, desk area and dresser. Along with a ceiling fan, mirrored closet doors and closet shelving. The 3rd guest room has a bunk bed with a full size bed on bottom and twin bed on top. As well as a pack and play crib for younger guests. Each unit has its own washer and dryer in a laundry room located on the side of the building.

We rented Both A (ground level) and B (2nd floor). Location was great—walking distance to shore cliffs and restaurants. Neighborhood is quiet, safe and friendly. Can see a piece of the ocean view from large 1st level balcony as well as smaller 2nd level balcony—super nice! Between 2 units, things were very well stocked although some things weren’t equally distributed (shampoo/rinse, aluminum foil/Saran wrap, wine/regular glasses). Nice clean furnishings. One problem we had for both units were these almost microscopic ants that seemed super intelligent as a group—got into snack bags that were rolled up and clipped shut on the kitchen counter. Ant spray was furnished so we did some treatments and put anything edible or potable in the fridge, which solved the problem. Also, 1st floor (Unit A) master bedroom smelled quite musty despite keeping windows open to air out daily and clicking heat/air, but to no avail (couldn’t figure out the source of the mildew, if chest of drawers or in the wall?); no mustiness elsewhere in Unit A, none upstairs. Hosts were very responsive via email/text although we were too busy to mention the 2 issues. Overall, enjoyed staying in the charming and well furnished duplex, so awarded 5 stars. Thank you and hope to be back!

This property is ideal for multiple families or larger parties traveling together. Less than 5 minute drove to Dana Point shops & restaurants & Laguna area. The balcony views are fantastic! Excellent communication with the owner. We will definitely stay again if our travels take us back to Dana Point!

The property was exactly as listed and described. It was clean and comfortably appointed. It was perfect for our group of 10. (The two units can be used together or separately) Nancy was great at communicating and verifying all was good prior to check in, once we arrived, and checking out. Its a very convenient location and we'd definirely stay there again!

We rented both the upstairs and downstairs units for our weekend getaway which was a wedding for one of our friends. It is the perfect set-up with extremely attentive and concerned management who is clearly prioritizing making sure all the guests are satisfied. The units housed 4 couples and 1 person traveling solo and all but one group had their own bathroom. Everyone had their own bedroom. The kitchens are both immaculate and perfectly appointed. The bathrooms have abundant towels. Everyone said their respective beds were comfortable. The decks boast views of the water and you can easily walk to coffee and pastries as well as the ocean if you're inclined. You can also park 4 cars there, which, when you're a group of 9 in CA is critical. We used the fire pit on the lower deck one night which was a great way to finish our weekend together. If you're looking for a great place to meet and catch-up comfortably, this certainly fits the bill.

We had a family of 10 staying at this location & it couldn’t of been better. We rented both units. It was nice to have two fully stocked kitchens & two large decks for the family to gather on. Great location & Nancy was a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend!!!

We rented both Unit A & B to accommodate parents and adult children. Both units were perfect for our needs and we all had a great time!! Plenty of parking for multiple cars. Would definitely rent one or both units in the future.

Beautiful home in a fantastic location!

We had a large group in town for a friends wedding. We rented both units and found them both to be extremely clean, well furnished and most importantly very comfortable! Working with the homeowners was a breeze, very attentive and courteous. A short walk to many of the activities and restaurants in downtown Dana point, I would suggest yoga on the lawn in the mornings if you want a quick wake-me-up. If you are looking for a relaxed, comfortable stay in Dana Point I would suggest you book this place now!

Nice home base with everything we needed

We spent a week, and rented both units for 4 moms and our kids while we trained for and participated in NSSA surf team Nationals. The location was fantastic for our Salt creek event. We were able to easily run home to pick up kids or forgotten items. The units are very cute and had everything we needed. Nancy was great. She reminded us about trash days and even brought us a blender so our girls could have Açaí bowls before training. She answered all our questions and was great to work with. Many of us mom’s walked in the mornings. There are many coffee shops and stores in walking distance. You can even walk above the ocean and enjoy the breathtaking views. This is a great spot. If you get a chance you should book these units for your extended family our group! Thanks Nancy!
