We had a wonderful stay! The accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the area. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!
We had an excellent stay at La Fenice by Giancarlo. The accommodation was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and in a fantastic location, just a short walk from Victoria's main attractions. Giancarlo was a wonderful host—friendly, welcoming, and full of great recommendations that made exploring Gozo even more enjoyable. We also loved the peaceful terrace with its beautiful views. Great value for money, and we would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

Giancarlo is very friendly and welcoming! He treats his guests with great respect and his home is very cosy and clean, equipped with all the amenities. The terrace is very peaceful and has a beautiful view of the Citadel. Considering it's situated in the capital, the house is still in a quiet area.
One has to keep in mind that they are renting just a room within a shared house, and therefore one should respect the other guests and the host who also lives there

Host Giancarlo welcomes every guest like a family member - maybe even better than a family member. In fact, I felt like family. He gave me so much respect, and only asks as much respect in exchange. My visit to Gozo went beyond my expectations because of Giancarlo's advice and hints of how to get the best out of this welcoming, but sometimes overwhelmed (by visitors and love) island. And I LOVED my balcony, and the enormous shared terrace and view of the Citadella :D
Please understand this criticism is not specific, nor throughout Giancarlo's - but if you need silence throughout the evening socializing hours and early in the morning ask for the inner bedroom, as the only thing I would change is the traffic on Gozo. In fact, I recommend they ban anyone other than residents, from bringing a car to Gozo. Cars are not needed as the bus system is incredibly easy to navigate, and efficient and very inexpensive (especially with a bus card).
