Great place, friendly helpful staff, traffic noise was bad

This is about as good as you get for a motel in America, exceptionally friendly staff, the room was very comfortable, clean and spacious

Unfortunately it is on a busy road and was quite noisy during the commuting hours, after 7pm it was ok. I have issues with noisy rooms, most people probably wouldn't be too bothered.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh!

The property was beautiful, walkable. Art was everywhere! So much more than a place to sleep. Peaceful. Relaxing. Lovely breakfast with great conversations with a variety of travelers. We will be back. So clean. Newly updated.

Delightful stay

Highly recommend Harwood Hill. Appointed with art work of locals, it is evident the moment you arrive the pride Heath, his partner and staff take in running Harwood. Extremely clean and charming, I would recommend Harewood to anyone. They really took into consideration the desires of guests; refrigerator, microwave, coffee and ALL the ecoutremonts, make-up remover are just a few. I’d also like to thank them for welcoming my four legged child.

We enjoyed our stay and would book again.

The location was convenient and the surroundings were lovely. The property was clean, neat, and delightfully styled. The morning breakfast was healthy and had a nice variety of choices.

Pleasant stay in a cozy, artsy environment

The rooms were tastefully updated, very clean, and offered nice toiletries. Breakfast was generous and offered different options. The property has a good view into the hills and funky art sculptures and wall hangings all over. There is a tavern in walking distance next door (make an advanced reservation) and Main St with other options is within 10 min away.

Only the door handle locks from the outside (vs. the deadbolt), but the property/ environment is relaxed and the area is calm.

Perfect and quiet.

I prefer non-chain hotels and their uniformity and over pricing. This is a lovely property and it’s host was warmly inviting. The local art in the lobby, rooms, and grounds elevated the experience.

I couldn’t stay longer.

Superb

Breakfast was pretty minimal but still Ok for me: Cereal, bagels, coffee, juice. Staff friendly.

The smiling face will not show up even though that is what I clocked on. Reminded me of the motels when I was a kid. Room and bathroom were kind of small. But everything was CLEAN and staff were very friendly and helpful. And it was quiet and convenient to Bennington.

Our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

We stayed two nights at Harwood Hill. It is an old-style motel with modern conveniences. It has a refrigerator, microwave, coffee/tea maker, and free wifi. There is a continental breakfast. The room we had, #3, was very roomy and bright. The pillow-top mattress was very comfortable. Cleanliness is very important and our room was immaculate, with crisp sheets and fluffy towels. The toiletries were of nice quality. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We recommend this motel.

My only complaint was the pillows. Mine were thin and hard. I had no other complaints.

We were there to celebrate our Anniversary, felt like we had the low grade room. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable, was chilly….the heater was very loud which made it hard to sleep, bathroom was renovated with a higher up level floor…. tripped a fews times. Did not have the breakfast

I enjoyed a good night's sleep in this clean, comfortable country inn.

Location was ideal for my needs. I was pleased that I was able to get this lodging on such short notice. The gentleman that greeted me was absolutely delightful. A BIG plus for The Harwood Hill is the excellent restaurant (The Public House) just a few yards walk from the motel. My room was spotlessly clean and pleasingly quiet. The furnishings were quaint but adequate. The bed was very comfortable. I appreciated the good quality Kleenex - it was not some cheap knock-off brand. I was happy and, frankly, a bit surprised that there was plenty of hot water for my shower. Also, I saw that a campfire had been lit. Had I not been so tired I would have joined the folks sitting around it. And finally, I am guilty of being a smoker. I VERY much appreciated that a chair, table and ashtray were provided outside my door. I didn't feel like I had to slink off into some dark corner to enjoy a cigarette.

I think the price was a bit high considering that the property, though well maintained, is older.
