The hotel is in a great location for anything going on between downtown Guadalajara and Zapopan. It's still good for stuff happening in Tlaquepaque, but count on 1/2 hour or more to get there. Getting Ubers to take us to/from the hotel was always easy, and taxis are readily available if you don't Uber. I enjoyed the fitness center (lots of treadmills and weights and everything in good shape). The pool at the top is infinite style, big, with fabulous views. There's a bar up there also. The only problem is that everything at the top closes at 7 PM, which is way too early. Just when the night views become awesome and romantic, you can't take advantage of them! The included breakfasts were excellent - lots of variety, tasty dishes, and it's available until noon! Our corner room had an amazing 180-degree view of the west part of the city. Although the room had a variety of issues, the hotel quickly fixed most of the problems. (Don't hesitate to let the front desk know about any problems. They're happy to fix them.) The A/C never worked quite right - it was fussy and loud. However, we were willing to put up with it, since the rest of the room was great. What else... Many good bands played in the lounge in the lobby. There's an Oxxo store down in the garage that's just like a 7-Eleven (very handy for getting snacks and drinks). Lastly, the staff were always cordial and very accommodating. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Fix the A/C system so that it doesn't blow so hard and doesn't fool the thermostat. Allow the pool and bar at the top to stay open until 11 PM.

Good and quick attention from staff. Rooms were comfortable. Food was good.
We saw little cocoraches in one room so they changed us to an upper room. Also water was yellow and with weird dust. This was in both rooms so we realized we showered with awful water. Staff told me they were cleaning the pipes so it was worst for me. We were getting quemicals and dirty water.
