Very special place in the heart of Rome
About this condo rental
Located in Rome, this lovely condo for $424 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Our stay in the Flavia's apartment was amazing. The location is great - literally in the middle of the city center, a walkable distance to main historical places, 20 min to Vatican, 25 min to Forum / Colosseum. Note that the city center is quite large, so be prepared to walk a lot anyway (to my opinion, the best way to explore Rome is by walking). The apartment itself has a very nice old-style atmosphere with views of cozy streets and roofs like in story-tales. Everything appeared as in the pictures provided. Nightlife is literally downstairs - there are many pubs and restaurants nearby. Our hosts, Flavia and Nicola, were very kind to leave us a welcoming gift including some good wine with sweets and pasta - exactly what we needed after a long and late trip. We definitely want to stay at this place once again! My accommodation is elegant, comfortable and spacious in the heart of Rome. You will live in an ancient palace of the '500 near Piazza Navona, San Pietro, the Coliseum, There is a large living room with fireplace, a large kitchen, three double bedrooms, one with fireplace, three bathrooms, a Jacuzzi, a loft with a single bed and a lovely little terrace between the roofs. The house is equipped with every comfort. Assistance 24h You'll love people, atmosphere and you will live an unforgettable holiday!

Great for groups looking for lively neighborhood in old rome — bring a white noise machine for sleep! Lol :)

I went to Italy with my 2 (Italian) sisters and our (very American) husbands. This location was ideal for our last day in Rome - perfectly situated near the action and absolutely gorgeous. I am positive that someone professional decorated because it was stunning. The only issue was that we traveled with 3 couples and the bedroom/ bathroom situations were not equal. For any other 3 this would have been an issue, but luckily we are easy going. The bed in one room too small for the husband and the hot water was not forthcoming. I still give this 5 stars because the good outweighs the small annoyances. Check in and out was effortless and efficient- the host a doll. The American husbands have gained a great understanding of their wives and our history and customs!

Wonderful and surprisingly large apartment in the heart of the best area to visit in Rome.

This is my favorite area to stay when I'm in Rome. You can see the photos of the flat but when we walked in from the elevator I was amazed by the large size of the living room. This is a grand flat! We loved the old world feel to it with the exposed beams and big windows. This was our favorite kitchen in all our travels as it all felt like a family home. Great mattresses and anything you need to cook with. We could just walk out the door and 1 minute later have many restaurants, Piazza Novana, Tiber River and a shimmering view of Castle St Angelo at night. There is a small terrace too for coffee or quietness. We really loved coming back from our adventures and sitting in the big kitchen talking about Rome. We would definitely come back to this flat. The owner was great to work with and very communicative. As it is on the 2nd floor the any street noise wasn't noticed. You wont be disappointed if you are lucky enough to stay here. I know I'm coming back!

Great location and very nice people to deal with. There is an elevator thankfully as there are a lot of stairs . Surprised by the number of cleanup requirements when leaving as we did not have to do all that at any other VBRO.( strip bed, clean dishes, sort garbage and dispose etc)

Amazing place in the middle of Rome

Our family group of 5 adults was looking to stay in Rome a few days after our cruise ended. We were focused on the size of accommodations and location. This was a perfect choice. From the moment we entered, it was clear that this was a family home, graciously appointed to make it very livable. I had the opportunity to get acquainted with Flavia, which only enriched the experience of our stay. If you are wanting to stay in Centro Roma, this is the place!

The accommodations at the flat were excellent. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with everything you need and the location couldn't be better. Communication with the staff was also great.

Family of 7 from teens to seniors. Apartment has a wonderful layout allowing for everyone to have their own space plus a large living area for everyone to gather together. Lovely well equipped kitchen. Loft and balcony was perfect spot for young adults to hang out and play guitar! Air conditioning and elevator for luggage or mobility impaired. Felt very safe with all the locks and gates. Can’t say enough about the location. Right in the heart of Rome. Walking distance to major sights. Taxi stand close by. Great restaurants and shops steps from apartment. It’s hard to please everyone in our group but everyone loved our visit here. Would come back without hesitation.

This property is absolutely amazing. It is so close to all of the major monuments and piazzas in Rome. We were walking distance to all but the collosseum but that was because of ability, not the distance.
Our granddaughter was enchanted with her loft room. All the beds were comfy and the air conditioning was such a reward after being out all day in the heat.
Simon, who checked us in, was a delightfully kind person. He even walked us to the Pantheon as we were getting short on time and weren't sure of the direction.
There was plenty of space for six adults and one child. Do take a serious look at this listing. We loved it and would certainly stay here again when in Rome.

This place was awesome. It was very spacious. Our family including two teenage boys had plenty of space to lounge during the afternoon siesta. It had bedrooms and bathrooms for all and a large living room. The decor was beautiful and seem to have been collected over decades.
The air conditioning worked well even with tall ceilings were and the airy rooms. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well, especially during nap time. It was quiet despite the lively squares nearby.
The hosts were very helpful and attentive, and the location was fabulous, just minutes from the Piazza Narvona, the Pantheon and the Vatican, and a half an hour from the Colloseum.
It was a key part of our enjoyment of the ancient city of Rome. We can't wait to return.

Staying here was the highlight of our trip. The layout of the flat is perfect, with a master bedroom on one side and other bedrooms on the other side. It is elegantly decorated, yet has the feel of getting to stay in someone's authentic, classy home (rather than a staged apartment), which is cool. Three large bathrooms, perfect for multiple adults traveling. Good service from owner and property managers.

Everything about Navonna Flat was amazing. The location was great, Flamia, our host was so accommodating and the apartment was even more spacious than the pictures show. The charm and attention to detail of the decor was found in every room. This was the backend accommodations for my cruise after staying on the Prati side on the front end of our cruise. Both were great for different reasons but the Navonna Piazza area is packed with so many food and tourists attractions yet you still feel like you're experiencing Rome as a local.
I agree with the other reviews that there are a few keys to manage but this is to be expected when you have original doors in the building. Also, having the elevator was a back saver because we had a lot of luggage. We needed to make several trips due to capacity but again, that is to be expected. We heard no noise from the street as others have mentioned. If I ever visit Rome again I will no doubt stay here! Ciao!!

This is a large flat in an ideal location. The host was very friendly and quick to respond to questions. A downside of the central location is the noise at night from the restaurants and bars below. We really liked this flat and would stay here again!

Situated close to Piazza Navona, this property is in an area full of restaurants and shops. Easy walking distance to many sites.
Be prepared for the Roman lifestyle of late dinners and music going all night.
Be prepared for lots of stairs. This property is no exception, but they have the addition of an elevator for luggage which was greatly appreciated.
The summer heat kicked on while we were there and the air conditioners worked well. Even turning them off during the day while we were gone, it didn’t take too long to cool off the apartment when we returned.
Nicola, the city manager, was very helpful and patiently answered all our questions and concerns.
Highly recommend this apartment!

This beautiful flat is in a 500 year old building which matches this wonderful historic city. Plenty of room for my family and the location was perfect to some of the “must see” attractions that Rome has to offer. The communication was great with our host. I would definitely recommend this as a place to enjoy your Italy vacation with family and friends.

The property was large and comfortable and a great location - very central! Elevator was a big benefit for my 74 year old parents who would have struggled to navigate the stairs every day. Very charming and the property managers were very responsive and friendly! The downside of the central location is street noise at night. It can be disruptive but was all managed, and found it all part of the experience!

We adored Flavia’s flat, it’s in an old building and has been lovingly updated to preserve its character while adding modern conveniences. It’s a short walk to Piazza Navona (along cobblestoned alleys) in an area full of trattorias, pizzerias, bars etc which are hopping at night. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of dishes etc and a dishwasher. (For groceries the nearby Carrefour Express is amazingly well stocked, we found everything we needed). The spiral staircase leads from one of the bedrooms up to the lovely little attic room with sitting area, single bed and the outdoor deck. Our hosts were great, from Simone meeting us and showing us all we needed to know, to Mauro arranging airport transportation, as well as Flavia and Nicola staying in touch via WhatsApp. Things to know - there are a few steps between rooms within the apartment. Lots of keys - to the outer door to the street (requires a little twiddling then a big shove to open it), to the gate on the stairs, a long key for the front door, another for the back door and yet another to operate the elevator. No need to worry about security! The front bedroom can be noisy at night from the bars at the corner - keep the windows closed. While there was no problem getting to the apartment by taxi, we found it hard to get a taxi from there - it’s easier to walk to the taxi stand at the north end of Piazza Navona.

The owner was very responsive however her team left her hanging. Upon checking in I was charged a 50 Euro late check in fee even though they had already charged me 20 euro online. The never offered to refund me the 20 euro. Then 2 days into our stay the electricity went out in half the unit which left us with no power in kitchen bathroom, living room and master bedroom along with no hot water. Building is very old and we do not know where the switches were to turn on the power. No one showed up for 3 days until the day we were leaving to turn it on. I messaged all the managers, and they told me where it was, when I told them it still wasn't working I received no response. We had 7 people with cold showers and no kitchen/tv/ etc. for half our trip and no offer to reimburse for those days. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. They were very good about charging me, and once they got the payment we were left hanging with no power and no help. On top of that there are 4-5 very popular bars on within a few feet of this place, didn't realize it was such a popular party place. I didn't mind but my mother-in-law and friends and the joy of hearing partying all night and puking drunks. House was clean and nice. Too bad so mis managed.

Loved the feel of this apartment - spacious yet cozy, with all needed amenities. We were welcomed by Simone who agreed to meet us earlier so we could drop our luggage, and he gave us details about the flat and about the area we were in. The location was very convenient with lots of restaurants within a couple of blocks and a 20 minute walk to the Colosseum. The one drawback was the noise in the streets where partying went on well after midnight every night. Bring your earplugs and a whitr noise machine - that might help.

Absolutely loved the location and the apartment. The area has plenty of restaurants and markets and was so central to all of the areas we wanted to visit. We will be returning.

Great time in Rome with family. Excellent location and close to everything. Wonderful cafes close by with market just down the street. Walked to almost all the sites and family of six adults all had their own space. Definitely recommend !

4 night stay in this spacious apartment was enjoyed by all. Nice bedrooms and bathrooms, well equipped kitchen.
Very close to many top sights. 1 of the bedrooms has a portable AC unit that was noisy but the 2 other bedrooms had installed units tha were fine. I would recommend this rental.

The location was just perfect. Tucked into a neighborhood with great energy and just blocks from Piazza Navona, we had our choice of local markets for personal shopping, wonderful restaurants and easy access to all the major sites by walking or for taking taxis. The apartment was very large, beautiful and well furnished. We will stay there again!

The location can’t be better and the apartment was perfect for 3 couples. We weren’t able to benefit from the new elevator(was still being installed). but it’s going to be a big plus since the apartment is on the 4th floor and the steps are challenging with luggage. Overall a solid 5 stars out of 5

There was an additional tax and the need to provide personal information (passports) that was requested by the property manager during the check in process, but was not clearly communicated on the VRBO listing. Beyond that the experience was wonderful.

The apartment is very well located for most main Rome attractions.

Flavia’s flat is a gem. It had plenty of room for our family of 5 to spread out, cook and relax. The air conditioning worked well, which was crucial for an August visit. The eat in kitchen was incredibly well appointed, and it was fun to cook in such a setting. Beds were comfy and linens plentiful. While the flat itself was thus top notch, the best part of it was/is its location. Just off Piazza Navona, near restaurants, a supermarket, cafes, and excellent shopping (especially if you like vintage treasures). We easily walked to the Colosseum and the Vatican. Andrea and Nicola (our contacts) were responsive and helpful. I would absolutely book this space when we next return to Rome.

This apartment is beautiful and very large with plenty of space for a large group. The kitchen was well stocked and and a great place for preparing meals. The neighborhood is centrally located and you can easily walk to the attractions and historical venues. There are many restaurants, shops and food stores around every corner. And the property manager Simone was extremely helpful at check-in and went out of his way to help with an emergency when our taxi company cancelled our 3:30AM pre-arranged ride to the airport (without any notice) as a result of a taxi strike. Thank you Simone. My family would have missed out flights if you weren’t there to help.

This property was the perfect place for our family trip to Rome. There were six of us and more than enough room for everyone. It has everything you could need to be comfortable and at home for your stay. The furnishings and apartment are gorgeous. The air conditioners worked better than any we'd had on our trip and saved us all during a particularly brutal heat wave. Great restaurants within steps of our door. Can't say enough good things about this flat. Thanks so much!

This place is huge! It comfortably fit my family of 7 (all adults). This is located in the heart of Rome and within walking distance of everything. The neighborhood and street was very cute. The property manager was very quick to respond when we couldn't get the hot water to work. He also helped us get taxis to the airport on short notice. I would recommend this place to my friends and family.

Large apartment in the very heart of Rome. Nicola made the check-in process very simple, the apartment was just wonderful. Just a few steps to Piazza Navona and the Pantheon in one direction and the Vatican in the other. Shopping and eating just out the front door... Perfect Location. The apartment was stocked with a coffee, expresso and a few light snacks, which meant that we didn't need to run to the store upon our arrival. The local partying extended into the early morning hours on our last night, which was a Friday night, but other than that, the entire stay was just delightful.
