Right on the beach, delicious breakfasts, super friendly staff

Best location to stay in Arugam Bay - beach front and all shops, restaurants, cafes and party places are close by, barely couple of min on foot.
We booked a superior deluxe room for our 2night stay in Arugam bay and was given a room on 1st floor overlooking the beach from common balcony. The room and its attached bathroom was clean and spacious (quite big tbh).
The staffs are always chilling, so much that you won’t find them anywhere. For check-in/check-out, we had to go around searching for the correct person.
They seem to have their own restaurant - have a kitchen, eating area on the beach and all but it’s difficult to say whether it actually operational or not. No people in the morning, empty and dimly lit in the evening.
The room was big but missed a lot a thing. Not just amenities but no character. They had provided kettle and cups but no tea or coffee sachets (not even on request). No cupboard or electronic safe. We stayed for two nights but on second day they didn’t come for room service. When we asked the staff, he said he would do it the next day i.e. on our check out day.
Also, be careful while booking - they have option to book with air-conditioner and without air-conditioner. We didn’t face this issue but have seen other guests being charged hefty for air-conditioner.

Beach proximity and location. The bed sheet and towel provided were clean and the staff was polite.
1) Rooms were only cleaned once during the entire stay(at the start of the stay). After that no one even bothered to enquire if we needed cleaning. There were no toiletries provided except for a basic hand soap.
2) We had taken the breakfast plan. Breakfast was limited to bread and omlette with juice/coffee/tea. I am a vegetarian but didn’t have any vegetarian options to choose from.
3) The Wi-Fi was really bad and just didn’t work
