About this house rental

Nestled in Samedan, this attractive house for $537 per night is a great choice for your next trip. An original Engadine house from the 17th century. 250 square metres living space on 2-3 floors. Gentle renovations were carefully planned and executed. Granite flooring for kitchen *, corridor and bathroom * (* with under floor heating) installed, old vaults appeared. A lover’s object that has no equal. On the ground floor is a spacious vaulted kitchen, a large bathroom with vaulted ceiling, 2 living rooms (Stüvas), one single room and a large entrance room (Sulèr), which could not be more comfortable for eating and being with 10-12 people. There are five bedrooms and a small bathroom in the upper floors. Museums and galleries: An impressive number of museums and galleries showcase paintings and sculptures for art lovers from all over the world. Sounding names as Giovanni Segantini, Friedrich Nietzsche, Milli Weber and Andrea Robbireceived their own museums. Contemporary artists such as Fischli / Weiss and PipilotteRist have their own platform in the valley thanks to the Art Public Plaiv project. In the Upper Engadine galleries every art lover will find something. Sports: The fascination of the mountains, the lakes and the light, invite to do different sports: hiking, climbing, horseback riding, fishing, and cycling. Thanks to excellent conditions, it is also good for sailing, surfing, golfing, mountain biking, and Nordic walking, kite-surfing and inline-skating, skiing or cross country skiing. It istruly heavenly.

Our families came together to celebrate a milestone birthday. We were 10 people and found Chesa Wazzau to provide ample room for all of us. The old house is beautiful and interesting.. The kitchen is very well equipped and allowed us to cook our own meals. Location is charming and convenient. Hope we can stay here again.

Our group of 9 adults absolutely fell in LOVE with this house!! It is a very old farmhouse that has been excellently renovated with just the right touch of old and modern. There were nooks and crannies galore (children would love it!), and the 6 bedrooms are spacious. There are 2 1/2 modernized bathrooms. The house has everything you could need for gourmet meals - not just the bare minimum. We met twice with the very cordial owners, who helped us feel so welcome. The only thing I would maybe counsel people about is the need to do stairs (somewhat uneven) to reach 5 of the bedrooms and the laundry room in the basement, in case there are elderly people. But even our 70-year-olds agreed it was a small price to pay for such a wonderful place to stay. If I could, I’d give it a 15, rather than a 10!

Great for our family group, recommended for adults and older children (our granddaughter is nearly 3) as the stairs are steep and some floors are uneven. Very well equipped and furnished with beautiful paintings and traditional furniture. Small but very pretty garden. Lovely walks nearby and convenient for shop and railway station.

Christmas was magical and Chesa Wazzau was most apt for the festivities. The house is stunning and beautifully refurbished - respecting the local culture, architecture and heritage!
