We had a delightful stay at this B&B: the Wakelins are lovely people, who welcomed us — the next morning, we had an engaging and wide-ranging conversation with our hosts and the other guest, over a delicious breakfast. My husband is a vegan, and Sue provided him with a dish she'd prepared with that in mind, and which he really enjoyed. I feasted on an omelette, and strawberries fresh from the market that morning. We had no room for the muffins, but I'm sure they were delicious, too!
From the booking to the au revoir, our hosts' communication was first-rate: they were super-accommodating about everything, beforehand and during our stay, offering options and helpful info, and asking all the good detail questions to make sure our stay was just right.
On the second floor of the cottage, there are two bedrooms available, and a bathroom (with shower) shared by those occupying the two rooms. We slept in Queen Room One, which included a pretty and very comfortable bed, and a comfy chair and ottoman by the window. Guests could also relax in the front room on the ground floor.
The cottage is on a very quiet side-street, an easy walk from the city centre.
If you can manage three low steps to get into the house, and a flight of stairs to reach your bedroom, this is a great place to stay.

What did we like about the property? Everything. The host couple are wonderful. The street it is on, close to the Festival playhouses, yet quiet. Heavenly and fun.

Wonderful hosts, comfy bed, lots of storage space in the bedroom, nice armchair to sit on and read, glasses and water provided for bedroom side table, big shower with easy access, delicious breakfasts, quiet neighbourhood.
Distance to the main street was a comfortable walk in good weather, but far in heavy humidity and rain.
