Perfect location, good value for money, amazing sea views, great holiday!

The location of Insotel Club Mayland is perfect (South coast of Formentera - so you have a great sunset every single day). The pool area is really nice which then leads to the beach which is amazing! The type of accommodation is really nice and it blends in very well with the nature and surrounding areas. The food/buffet was good and there are a lot of options. They also have a balcony with sea views where you can have your meals (which is really, really nice but also very popular therefore it's always crowded). The staff are very friendly.

In the bedroom there are a few things that should be improved: . Number of sockets (just one available because the other one was being used by fridge or microwaves) . Light switches (there should be one by the door - not on the other side of the bed) . Bedrooms 'sitting' behind the reception area tend to get a lot of noise in the morning when staff arrive and also when the maintenance vehicles start or get parked (very annoying especially when you are sleeping at 6-8am) . Bedroom also needs a bit of TLC . Bedroom should have a TV (not essential but it's always good to have one) . Bedroom should have a 'cooling' fan (at least)

Cold water during the stay even after telling to reception, 3 cold showers in 3 days. 2 single beds when double bed was booked Needs a big refurbishment, very old style. No TV No wifi and no signal in room

We had an amazing holiday

We just came back from Club Maryland, 2 adults and our 2 year old son. I must say I was very worried when I booked because of all bad reviews and the low rating. But I must say that we were positively surprised and would definitely consider to go back. The location is just amazing, facilities are amazing, the food is very good, great selection and fresh and there is AC in the restaurant, contrary to what I’ve read. The staff is nice and helpful and always receiving you with a smile. Our son simply loved being there. We stayed in a bungalow, it is dated, true, there is no AC but during our stay (September) we didn’t need it, didn’t used the ceiling fans either. The accommodation was spotted clean also. I don’t understand people complaining about things missing like TV or AC etc., when clearly they are not advertising any of these. We did had an old TV (but honestly who goes on holiday to watch TV?!), there was a fridge and microwaves and a sink and a cabinet with some cups/plates in the “kitchen”. We definitely consider going back. All the staff work very hard, give their best and are truly heros for the work and effort they put to make us feel good.

great value for money, kids loved it. beautiful beaches

beds could be slightly bigger / comfier but we liked the rustic charm of the bungalows

Beautiful location but needs room upgrade to charge that kind of money.

The staff was very friendly and the way the hotel is situated is great. The location is wonderful. It is nice and quiet at night.

The mattresses. Bottom line, if the beds were comfortable I could forgive the lack of A/C. Although no A/c is pretty beat. The fans were nice and strong tho.

No air condition the rooms are really old we had water falling all night from the kitchen ventilators were really noise for the price that we pay for day is súper expensive we are not going to return

3 days in Formentera

I really liked the location and the different pools as well as the rooms in little houses scattered in the forest. I liked the fact the hotel is just next to the beach. In the room I liked to have a terrace, had a lot of space and a kitchen and sofa area. I like it was very quite in the evenings and the room was very clean.

I did not like the music and the entertainers in the pool. The music at the bar was playing at the same time the entertainers were doing the show and it was very annoying all the noise around the pool. I did not like either that guests can book the hammocks with the towel and disappear the whole day. The furniture of the terrace is plastic and could be nice as well as the furniture inside the rooms. The furniture is old and not properly taken care of. The food in the restaurant did not look very tasty so I was glad I did not pay the full ticket.

Obsolate hotel,

Absolutely nothing, pics doesn’t corresponding to the actual hotel, photoshop makes miracles!!! Staff, 100 % helpful, polite, marvellous Housekeeper absolutely excellent!!! Congratulations for that !!!!

Good hotel but needs to be improved.

The location (front beach), clean, confortable, very good structure.

Staff could be friendly, specially restaurant’s staff. The food is not good, basically they do the same menu whole the week. The hotel has a very good structure, everyone was working properly but needs to be refurbished. The apartment is dark; the hotel doesn’t have the beach towel.

Formentera Insotel Mar Y Land

The location is superb and the bar and restaurant are excellent. The entertainment team are a great bunch and very friendly (they work hard)! Lots going on during the day, water polo, zumba etc....Evening entertainment was fun, the Flamenco fusion night was the best! The atmosphere is relaxed and the views of the beach are phenomenal! The resort is literally on the beach😍

The decor in the rooms was a bit dated, they could do with some fresh paint and the door key was only a yale so not that secure!

Bad

Have made a complaint to hotel and booking. Com got a very unprofessional response from hotel nothing back from booking.com. We left a day early because go no longer stay in hotel it was so bad. Staff did nothing.

It's ok for a night but not for longer holidays unless you love all inclusive and crowds

it was fine, but 4 start is rather a joke. Location is nice, the gardens are pretty and the staff is very nice. Food - great variety and quality was ok.

I booked a night in a hotel that did not open for this season, but I was told about the change of the hotel just minutes before the arrival. Obviously I was told I'm getting a better hotel, better room, better quality etc., but it was just not what I was planning. I know we have covid, but letting people booking hotels which are not even considered for opening this season is just unfair. We went specifically to check the state of the hotel that we booked and it was just a ruin and don't think it will be open this year, but still if you go to booking.com you can select it for your stay. So if you plan your holidays, better check directly with the hotel whether it's actually open. Insotel is extremely loud, the walls are just so thin you can hear everything next door. Dining area is just like a hive with children running with plates. For cooked dishes (even eggs) you have to wait in a long line, coffee is from a cheap machine and tastes similarly.
