Koselig hus med egen hage

Koselig hus midt i gamlebyen. Likte den inngjerede hagen, med fine trær og planter. Likte å spise frokost på uteplassen hver morgen. Dem som leier bør like katter, kattungene var veldig søte. 🐱🐱🐱🐱 Stille og rolig område, som alikevel var nærme mange bra restauranter og butikker.

Var 5-6 katter i hagen der nesten hele tiden, så kunne ikke gå ifra noe spisende på bordet ute.. Hadde vært kjekt med vaskemaskin og oppvaskmaskin.

Home from home. Beautiful!

Fabulous little cottage, which was extremely well decorated and clean and tidy. Bottle of wine left on arrival, nice. Lovely gardens with fruit trees, chairs, table and loungers. Comfortable lounge area, bedrooms roomy with comfortable beds and air conditioning. Kitchen well equipped with table and chairs. Owner met us at one of the walled gates. Property in centre of old walled town surrounded by ruins which made it more special. Would love to have taken the cottage with us. Home from home!

The garden was a lovely bonus and the position in town was perfect.

The keys to both the gate and house doors were troublesome. They could do with being changed.

Beautiful house in a fantastic location

The house is just lovely and in such a fantastic location (on a quiet road, but just moments from the centre). The facilities were good and the garden was such a bonus. The rooms were very comfortable and both Maria (owner) and Maria (who met us) were very friendly and helpful. would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone looking to explore Rhodes Old Town.

Having a glass front door and glass bedroom doors did mean it was difficult to get the twin bedroom dark (as there is a street lamp outside). TV channel all seemed to be in German which we don’t speak - but there’s so much else to do, this isn’t really a problem (we only put it on one evening when it was raining). Some people might be bothered by the many cats that visit (we quite liked it) - but then if you really don’t like cats, Rhodes Old Town might not be for you!

Pleasant

The house itself was ok, apart from one very tiny bathroom for all of us, and I mean tiny.....and there were tiny little ants on the kitchen bench the whole time. The location was great 👍 The walled garden was great, apart from it smelling of cat urine constantly, but I'm not sure what they can do about that considering it's from stray cats. It was worse first thing in the morning, improving into the evening. It was very clean, and the pillows were brand new.

The hot water was non-existent when we arrived. Being solar heating it had obviously been used by the previous guests who only departed at 12pm and then the cleaning, which was performed until we arrived at 3pm. There is a switch in the electrical meter box which we were not told about ......we had no response from the managers, the 2 Marias, for 25hrs, which resulted in no showers for our first evening after a hot day of walking around, and the next morning when we went off on a tour for the day. Over 24hrs of no response to a plea for hot water is not acceptable, especially considering what we were paying. Then, when they finally responded, the switch in the electrical box wouldn't stay on to heat the water, but we were in an ok cycle with the solar heating by then. Overall communication was not great. 2nd issue, don't expect the wifi to work at all, even when the managers re set it, so even though there is Netflix on the tvs, it doesn't work as the network speed is so slow. Sometimes, stepping out the front door allowed us to load a web page 🙄 The bedding was also insufficient, one thin blanket for April nights is not enough, but I rummaged around in the cupboards and found some more for the 4 of us. Towels were thin and small.

Very Enjoyable Stay in the Heart of Old Town Rhodes

Beautiful house and private garden with great location. Quiet and peaceful. Everything was clean and the villa comfortable. Good air conditioning. Fairly good beds (1 double, 2 single beds and more available). A lot of excellent restaurants just around the corner. This villa is an ideal base for exploring the old town Rhodes. Not too long walk to Elli Beach. We had breakfast outside in the garden every morning, but when eating outside do remember to look out for the cats. Our kids just loved them.

Although our host Maria seemed very nice there was some delays in answering the messages. The other Maria, who was at the Kolona Gate to meet us, did not speak too much English, but we managed to sort everything out after all.

Will definitely be back again!

The locations couldn’t have been more perfect for exploring the old town and seeing the sights. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was a great size. The garden was perfect for sitting out not matter the time of day and it was never very noisy. Maria was so accommodating to the change in check in and check out times.

The front door was very difficult to open.

Exceptional

Beautiful house and garden, quiet and peaceful in heart of old town. Rhodes town is one of the best places I have visited and being able to stay in such lovely accomodation so close was a pleasure. Nearby restaurants we liked Dafni and Nomad..both required reservations. Marco Polo also looked good but was booked for the week already. We swam at all 3 beaches you can walk to, Elli beach is the best and furthest. It's mobbed and some of the lounger prices are high. We paid 30euro half way down beach. Near initial bar it was 50 for 2 ! Other beaches are just small strips of sand near ferry port but nice for a quick dip and snorkel. 2 parasols at house were a nice touch.

Internet didn't work despite rebooting router. Keys were a bit tricky and was worried would snap key in lock. Also arrangements to meet at main gate didn't work as we said we arrive at 12 but somehow they thought 1 so we waited 30 mins before finding house ourselves. Phone sat nav worked surprisingly well. If you don't like cats don't go..though it's fun to watch kittens chase lizards around the garden. Parking hire car on last day was a pain..only locals can drive into old town

Very good

the courtyard was great! we made fresh lemon tea from the lemon tree every morning. the location was excellent! it was like living like a local.

the shower didn’t have a door-as is in many hotels in Greece- so the bathroom floor would get wet

Quiet old town location

Lovely house in a tremendous location. Nearby everything, yet it felt removed. The rooms were very comfortable and the whole place is very clean, well appointed, and has a great patio to relax. The hostess was fantastic and helped us arrange transport while there.

Superb very comfortable secluded garden villa for the perfect end to a great holiday.

Beautiful villa. Very clean and comfortable. Host left us a bottle of wine, much appreciated. Great location, quiet and secluded with a beautiful garden complete with fruit trees. Air conditioning in every room. Good walk in shower. Lots of lovely cats & kittens to make a fuss of. Would highly recommend and we hope to return.

Minor point, but the wifi wouldn't work and it was only fixed on our last night. Luckily I could use mobile data to do our PLF forms for the return home. Also if staying for more than a few days the wardrobe was crammed full of towels, bedding and garden seat cushions, so it would be difficult to store any clothes in it.Really need separate storage for these items.

Perfect week in Artemis Boutique House!

The property is charming: it has everything needed for a self-catering holiday and is comfortably furnished. The walled garden is lovely. We recommend this property as an ideal base for exploring the old town, the beach and touring the island. Maria is a very helpful and accommodating host.

Beautiful quiet house in the center of the old town

A beautiful location in the center of the old medieval town of Rhodes, with a very nice quiet garden. Very close to all the shops and busy streets!

Good on paper, less in reality

The location was perfect and the house big and pretty modern

We never saw the host, she messaged me during our afternoon flight that we wouldn't be able to do the checkin until 7pm ( and offered a late checkout to make up for it) which was really annoying after traveling with 2 toddlers. Then our pick up organised by the host didn't work and after 30 min of waiting in the airport lobby someone told us we were late (!) and would have to wait another 30 min for our cab. We went for the airport cab instead which was perfect. At the house there were 2 cleaning ladies who let us put our suitcases. 10 min after leaving we got a call from the host saying we should have taken the keys from the cleaning ladies (who never said anything except that the house would be ready in 1 hour) and we would have to pick them up right now... As for the house it looks very nice and modern at first sight. But the garden is a refuge for stray cats around and they sleep and p.... in there. The sunbeds and chair pillows have stains and are covered with cat hair. I had to shovel dried cat excrements in the bushes so that my kids dont walk on it. Finally lots of ants in the house from the start which drove my husband crazy. We never stored food or ate inside.

Exceptional

Maria was great, location excellent but bathroom size is a compromise.

Great communication, excellent location in the old town, pretty quiet at night but only 100m from lively bars /restaurants. Nice private garden, secure property. Plenty of towels, comfortale bed.

Rooms smaller than the pictures suggested, however the bedrooms, living room and kitchen were all fine. Unfortunately the single bathroom was really small, basic and cramped (approx 1m wide x 2m long to include toilet, small sink and shower) which is dissapointing for the price.
