Well placed next to the road and easily found in my tired state - and not noisy as one might expect. Room comfy and clean. Staff pleasant and helpful. While I was too late to eat, I can see that there would have been plenty of choice for food.
The reception closing at 7.30 does seem very early to me and had me worried about my arrival time. I did ping a message on Booking.com to alert that I would probably be a bit late (which the booking confirmation makes clear is not a problem, without further elaboration) but ended up having to phone from Knoydart mid-afternoon to double check how I would get in, as the response came somewhat later than I would have anticipated and I hadn't seen it. After cleaning up, all I wanted was to chill with a hot drink, only to find that the kettle didn't work. Whether I would have headed "down" to a reception, had it been open, is debatable, but I really really would have liked to have been able to make a coffee the next morning. The guidance in the room does say how important our feedback is and, if there is anything wrong, we are encouraged to report it...but it doesn't say how when reception is closed! Maybe a clear note on what to do and who to call would be appropriate?

- parking lot is the big plus, right next to the lodges
- the situation is very good for nearby visits
- it's completely fine if you stay for 1-3 days, wouldn't recommend for a whole trip
- a little dirty, hair in the bathtub, other places not very clean
