Location, price, friendly hosts, breakfast. If you need to leave early they make a takeaway breakfast the night before which was very much appreciated.
Always had space in the bathrooms, though occupancy seemed low (may).
Communication about the price. Even though my girlfriend speaks perfectly Spanish there was confusion and they did not manage to explain why we paid more than was agreed upon beforehand.
If you pay in pesos, expect to pay a high conversion rate from the advertised price in dollars, or discuss price beforehand.

The owners were really nice and helpful. Kitchen was well maintained. Outside seating was nice. Breakfast was good and had a bit more variety than other places. Very good value for money.
The wifi was inconsistent and not really good. The showers didn’t always have warm water. The accommodation states that there is an airport transport unfortunately that’s not the case.

We stayed at Hostal Open House 1 night mainly for the price and location, which were both decent. However, the overall experience was quite disappointing.
There was no hot water in the shower, no mirror in the bathroom and the room was very cold at night. The extra blanket provided was visibly dirty and clearly hadn’t been washed. The breakfast was extremely basic: just bread, butter and some cereal, not really satisfying.
Also, they rounded up the price to the next dollar without informing us, which felt a bit unprofessional.
If you’re just looking for a cheap place to sleep and have very low expectations, it might do the job. But don’t expect much comfort or attention to detail.
