The most notable schooner was The Owl which shipped local butter, cheese, hogs, produce, duck eggs and more to the markets of San Francisco, then returned to Bolinas with mail. The home once was a milliners shop! Without losing its historical charm the home has been lovingly modernized and features clean, mid-century interior décor. Privacy is created with a gated lovely garden in front and multiple seating areas around the property toLocated in the heart of downtown Bolinas, without loss of its vintage historical charm this 2 brm/ 2 ba home features mid-century interior décor. Relax and enjoy the Marin coastal air in the privacy of a gated garden with multiple seating areas. The house is just a few minutes’ walk to the beach and tennis courts and is around the corner from restaurants and shops. There is a 60" flat screen TV, Youtube and Apple TV, DVD player (with a DVD library), SONOS, and Wi-Fi. There is a large outdoor deck just off the kitchen with a long dining table and gas grill. There is also an outdoor shower. Two off street parking spots. There is never a dull moment in Bolinas! Watch the sunrise on Bolinas Beach and the Sunset at Agate Beach. Walk to the Bolinas Museum which is known for its excellent art, photography and history exhibitions. The home is a short walk to play tennis, surf, fish, beach comb, build sandcastles. The Bolinas Mesa is ringed by Duxbury reef and out at Agate Beach s around the full moon is the best time to explore the abundant marine life in the tide pools. The Coast Cafe is the one restaurant in town and across the street is Smiley's Schooner Saloon which features live music, wine, beer....and Kombucha on tap. Fresh produce can be bought at the 24 hr Farm Stand or at the Bolinas Peoples' Store. The Bolinas Grocery Store has a great meat counter with grass-fed beef and pork along with fresh caught fish.

Wonderful gem of a lovely home in town walking distance to the beach and town. We absolutely loved our time here with our boys, was just the getaway we needed and can't wait to return. The property manager and owner have set up a wonderful, thoughtful, restful experience for guests to enjoy their stay here.

Our stay was perfect! The location was idea, we walked to surf everyday. In the evenings we'd walk over to town to grab fresh food for meals and BBQ in the yard. The house feels much more spacious inside, it's very well appointed and clean. The manager of the property, Terry was super helpful and very responsive to any inquiries we had. We loved it and will definitely be coming back.

We loved everything about this stylish little light-filled house in the heart of Bolinas! It was very comfortable for two couples, with easy access to town, the beach, and hiking trails. We also just loved sitting in the garden. Terry, the property manager, gave us a warm welcome and we look forward staying in the same house again - hopefully soon!
