Great location, but cleaning should be better and a few other things need improvement

The apartment has an extremely good and central location close to many restaurants and right by the metro. The beds were comfortable, the air condition worked well, the wifi was fast and the interior was nice. Nice also that he apartment has two bathrooms.

Cleaning should be better, especially the bathrooms and the kitchen utensils. The shower in one of the bathrooms kept overflowing due to a drain that we found out was full of hair from previous visitors. The same bathroom is also full of mold on the walls and roof above the tiles. A lot of the things in the kitchen was dirty, plates forks, knives and especially the frying pan and boiler. And there was not provided any washing machine detergent so we had to buy that before we could clean all the dirty things in the kitchen. Be also aware that the kitchen is not very well stocked with just the basic things and even missing some basic things like oven mittens, wine glasses, washing machine detergent etc. The apartment also had a handful of lightbulbs not working, and for one bathroom constantly blinking, was not fixed during our stay even tough we informed at check in and were promised it should be fixed. We booked the apartment with breakfast included, but when asking for breakfast at check in (everything done trough WhatsApp) the host didn't respond, only until 12:00 the day afterwards were we informed that they couldn't offer any breakfast. Very annoying and frustrating to not get any response and breakfast, we did however receive 5 Euros compensation per person per day for the missing breakfast after contacting Booking.com customer service and explaining the problem to them. Be also aware that there is only one key to the apartment and it is also needed to lock the door from inside the apartment, making it a bit cumbersome if not everyone is leaving/entering the apartment at the same time.

Dirty property, false advertising

The property was horrible, but Booking.com Customer Service has been very responsive so far in responding to this issue.

The property was filthy. There was a disgusting old used bar of soap in the bathroom and nothing else-- no hand soap, no body wash, no shampoo. Not even a hand towel. The trash can had clearly not been emptied recently. There was hairs all over the bathroom floor and dirty glasses in the cabinets. The counters in the kitchen were dusty and there were wine stains on the coffee table.

Great location the apartment is nice. Check in is easy.

There are a lot of stairs in order to get to the elevator. Not suites for older people. Exept the check in wich was ok, The communication with the host was poor. We asked question and there was no respond. The apartment is poorly meintanced. All the kiltchen drawers and closets are falling apart. The remote control of the AC didnt work. The host wrote she will bring batterys. We are still waiting. There is a flush at the bathroom. And a lot of spotlights were broken. Its really a bit because the apartment location is super and its really nice. Just a little invesment is needed thats all..

The apartment was probably really nice at some point - Pictures looked great. Upon entering we were shocked to find mold

Location.

Mold EVERYWHERE in one of the bathrooms. Serious health risk. Not joking. Couldn’t even use it. We also found a dirty sock on the dining chair. Kitchen was in a terrible state as well, barely holding up. Construction works in the block woke me up at 6am.

Great location, apartment is clean and comfortable in general. Beautiful place.

Missed towels for the flour in one bathroom. Blankets were dirty and a bit coldish. No explanation for how to warm up the rooms. 45min of breakfast waiting, so we skipped second day.

Perfect stay.

Property was extremely high quality and luxurious. Location can't be better. It's very central with walking distance to all important attractions and markets in Budapest. Amazing place and extremely helpful and pleasant host. I will come again and will always stay here. It's the best value for money.

Dirty, mold, bad breakfast, incorrect size, asks for 10 star reviews

location was perfect

1. It was sort of dirty, there was mold on the ceiling, cobwebs, crumbs on the floor etc 2. I was looking for a hotel and found this on booking, but it’s an apartment, not a hotel 3. the breakfast was at a 2.2 google stars cafe, it has horrible reviews and we had to look for breakfast elsewhere 4. there was no drinking water and no reception where I could ask for it, so I had to search for it on my own in the evening and everything was closed already. none of the comforts of a hotel 5. it says it’s 115m, the photos look great, like it’s a very sunny apartment with lots of light. it’s actually much smaller, one room is like the 2nd floor and you can’t even stand up straight there. The place is pretty dark, no sunlight can get there because there’s a building right across the street. 6. the host asked us for a 10 point review three times, he didn’t say “please leave your review”, he specifically asked for a very good review 10 points. that’s why this accommodation has such a high rating, that’s why we chose it and were disappointed. Usually 9+ places are really different. 7. The host said the checkout is at 10 am, but on booking it says 11. He said ok, 11, but give us 10 stars))) 8. We’re disappointed, our stay could have been much more comfortable

The location is good, and the apartment is spacey, but those are probably the only advantages of this property.

Breakfast was terrible. It is served in a hell hole called Lujza bistro, you can check trip advisor, it has VERY bad reviews. Poorly prepared food, dirty cups. We as a family of 5 got served 3 pieces of bread with an explanation that that is all they have. I don't know how hard it is to estimate that 3 pieces of bread won't be enough for 5 people when you know in advance you will have 5 people. We didn't even go the day after that. There are a lot of options for great breakfast in the vicinity. Just do yourself a favor and don't waste your time there. Beds are very bad, basically, it feels like you are sleeping on a slab of wood with a 3cm thick pillow. During last night the heating broke down. Our 5 yr old kid got sick. So we were stuck in a freezing apartment with only cold water and 5 year old kid with 39 degrees celsius fever. In the morning I immediately contacted the host, who after 45 minutes replied that he will check, just to get back to us about 30 minutes before checkout only to ask whether this happened for the first time or also the night before (???). Of course, by that time we already left the apartment and were on our way home.

great location we travelled as a family and the apartment was very suitable. the building is old but the apartment was renovated and in good condition with all appliances. the lady handling logistics was with great availability and extremely helpful.

Great spacious perfectly located

Excellent location. Spacious, very clean apartment. We were 5 adults so we definitely appreciated the 2 bathrooms. Communications were complete and prompt. Instructions for check-in were clear. Nice kitchen well equipped to facilitate at home cooking if required. We were very satisfied with our stay. This is a great place.

Miscommunication regarding parking. However, I noticed that this has already been rectified on the listing. Other than that, we were extremely satisfied with our stay.

Exceptional

Ideal location. Very central yet also very quiet. All furniture clean and new. Kitchen fully equipped. Fast internet. Plenty of shops and cafes nearby. 5 minutes' wlk from the number two tram route along the Danube.

Nothing serious to signal here. The interior of the building — staircase, lift, courtyard — is a bit shabby, but the general atmosphere is happy and secure.
