Guatamalan friends to come and stay with ! Experience a basic nice homestay.

I loved how i got picked up by the host..i felt coming home at a friends place , like they open their house for you, they sit with you for a talk and eat together when their is space at the table. I loved being part of their daily life including church meeting in their house (not weekly)...its a basic nice homestay in a very local area and having the best easy walks to the main street. If you seek a nice home to be home and experience guatemalan hospitality and living as be near but still out the touristic main street..come and stay here!!!..the breakfast included was every day jummy. Also you can order home cooked dinners with them..also amazing..whatever you need help with..they are there. Gracias!! Thanks for everything!!

When i booked i thought they had a cozy roof where you can sit in hammocks watching over the laguna..turned out still a great view but Just a roof.. in the end it doesnt matter as its great to sit with them, perfect roof for drying clothes and they very close to a great coffee roastery. I hope they can add a cozy rooftop in the future.. a bonus for the great home. I recommend them highly!!

Family vibes, good breakfast, quite location

Julio and his family are very lovely. They are so friendly and helpful with everything. Julio’s wife provided us with very delicious and fresh breakfast every day. It’s a rather calm place to stay. Everything is clean, a hot shower is available too. It’s a few steps away from the center.

the hosts are just amazing, so kind and helpful and I really felt welcome in their home. a really great stay, recommend it to everybody who wishes to have an authentic stay in Guatemala! Great breakfast as well!

Very nice

Great Hostel with very nice host. I had to leave really Early, but he even got up to make a sandwich for me. The bed was very comfy and big, everything was clean.

Great place to stay for being with a local family

Julio and his family are extremely friendly and helpful (with adorable cats). We had a really nice stay, we share the meals with the other few guests (it’s a homestay also for a Spanish school). Good ambiance and Julio can give you tips as a guide. Really clean room and well equipped. In general good WiFi but had some bugs at one point. Possibility to use the kitchen (which is in fact the one of the family). Free water provided. The breakfast was perfect and delicious and fulfilling (different meals each day). Great location for us but can be a bit far for others (10-15min to the boat). But super quiet at night.

Can be loud because of other guests (walls are super thin and the rooms are all around the kitchen). It’s also open to the street so on the morning it’s louder. But luckily the other guests mostly respected the privacy of others. We liked everything but it’s a bit expensive compared to other hotels we experienced in San Pedro.

we really enjoyed our stay here. for us it felt like family, even though we only stayed one night. location is good, far up from the trouble but still so easy to reach everything by foot. Thanks for everything Julio!

A great bargain.

The friendly family atmosphere, the great breakfasts. And Julio speaks excellent English and is so helpful. The laundry service is fast and reasonable.

Warm, welcoming stay short walk from town

Julio and his family are amazingly kind and welcoming. I was only there for a short time but would have happily stayed longer. I really enjoyed the breakfasts with his family and his willingness to help with my Spanish learning. Muchas gracias!!

Very good

Good location, 10 min walk from Embarcadero and 5 min walk for stunning views of the lake. Bed in comfortable and area is quiet for good night sleep. Host is very helpful and can give advices about local area. Breakfast was really nice.

Fantastic homestay with local family!

Perfect homestay in a local family's home. Vilmas cooking is absolutely delicious and Julio organizes various tours and helps with transport/shuttles. There even are some very cute kittens that enjoy some cuddles! Would totally recommend staying with Vilma, Julio and Llemo!

Lovely stay, great breakfast

Julio is an awesome host! He really takes good care od you and has many recommendations. The room is basic, but there is all you need and it is clean. We loved the patio where you can sit and chill. The breakfast was delicious!! One morning we got huge pancakes with a lot of fruit and the next we had avocado toast with egg (super good). Location is only a 10 min walk from the panadock, which we liked because it was quiet at night. Good value for money.

Great place where you feel at home

I checked out a couple of other places before deciding to stay at Casa Llemo because of the welcoming atmosphere from the first moment and I'm so glad I did. Julio and his family go out of their way to make you feel at home and make sure you get everything you need, but they always give you enough privacy as well. The rooms are clean, the water is hot and the meals are home cooked, delicious and cheap. They can also book different tours and shuttle for you and often have better connections or prices than what you find on the internet. Julio's hospitality went even beyond my stay. I had already left when a shuttle I had booked online canceled last minute. Because he had mentioned an alternative company to me before I called him pretty late, and even though I woke him up, he was so helpful and managed to book a shuttle for me and save my trip! Thank you! I wish I could have stayed a bit longer.

The breakfast was delicious, and so were the optional dinners for a small extra charge. Julio and his family are incredibly kind and welcoming. The room was super clean, the location was great, easy to walk anywhere, but a little bit away from the hustle and bustle which made it easier to sleep. Julio is very knowledgeable and can explain how to get the most out of your trip. I used the laundry service and my clothes came back clean, and nicely folded. The price was more than fair. I highly recommend this place!

The owner Irma is very nice and welcoming lady. Breakfast was delicious! Also this place is few streets away from the main street, so was quiet at night. The town is very small so everywhere you stay is a good location,because everything is walking distance. Many nice food places around etc.

I would prefer for bathroom to have the doors, cause it was only the curtain. I stayed in same room with person i barely know (my travel buddy) so was a bit awkward to go to the toilet when you can hear everything 😀

Far enough from the hustle and bustle of the town but close enough to enjoy the nightlife. Julio was an exceptional host and helped us make the most out of our time there. Breakfast was included and very generous. He hosted dinners for all the guests and it was great to get to know each other in a home stay setting. Rooms large and clean. Highly recommended!

The family is super nice and friendly, you really feel welcoming there! Rooms are basic but comfortable. It's a 7-10 minutes walking distance to the main pier and restaurants from there but it was not a problem for me. Breakfasts also were very delirious! Highly recommended to get a real experience of life in a local family!

The host Julian is an open-minded and friendly guy, always ready to help. He assisted me planing my further journey. The room and bathroom was extraordinary clean. Possibility to cook in his kitchen. All in all a very good stay!

Central location in San Pedro minutes walk from Market, ATM and restaurants

The owners couldn't be more friendly, talkative and extremely helpful with travel and attractions. Julio spoke excellent English and we enjoyed both breakfast and an excellent dinner. A very relaxing place. He took us to the honey and chocolate making places.
