Nice kid free anniversary weekend

The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about good places to eat and things to do, and she welcomed us to our stay with a nice welcome drink. The room was nicely decorated and we really enjoyed our stay here. Will be returning for sure!

The bed was comfortable. The owner/ manager was helpful.

As a B&B, we expected a homemade breakfast. This was not rhe case. Orange juice and yogurt in frige/ packaged sweets and granola bars. AC right by bed going off and on all night.

Beautiful, comfortable, clean and friendly

Joelyn is so friendly and so helpful! The location is literally 4 minutes from everything! The home is beautiful, comfortable and clean!

It looked a lot nicer online. The manager was a nice person but she needs help keeping the place up.

Great location

Bathroom design and room layout. There was no place to put clothes, no dresser, etc. the room furniture was dingy.

Beautiful stay at Carr Mansion!

Carr Mansion was absolutely exquisite. Ms. Joellyn was so kind and informative of great places to eat at and explore in the town. Plus, she is an amazing cook. It is centrally located, so you are minutes away from anything. The house itself is so rich in comfort that you feel right at home. We will definitely be staying here again and will recommend it to anyone going to Galveston.

We stayed 1 night as we were in Galveston for a wedding.

Breakfast was delicious Loved the mimosas! The host was so gracious and pleasant it made our stay very enjoyable. She recommended that we visit some of the sculptured Ike trees and we really appreciated. We visit Galveston often but had not seen the sculptured trees and we were delighted with them.

The stairs were a little challenging for me, but that is due to my mobility issues, not a reflection on the property. Just something some folks might need to know.

lovely house

no privacy for taking a shower or a bath in our own room. right up against a window where the shutters cannot be closed and there is only a shear (narrow) piece of fabric between you and the outside world.

Historic home was wonderful. Didn't realize that there were no showers. I liked the bathtub but our friend at 6'6" didn't fit.

There were sugar ants in the left muffins. No showers.

charming hotel with no closet

nicely renovated while maintaining classic character of the architecture.

For any amount of money, I expect a closet to hang my clothes, but for $320 a night, it is essential.

Wonderful people and wonderful place.

I love the history of the house , the rooms, the staff was amazing and made it so personal which made such a difference in your stay. The breakfast was great! The whole experience was absolutely wonderful!

I liked everything maybe the prices could be a little less but it was totally worth it .

Great place for a relaxing couples retreat,

The hosts were friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. The breakfasts were wonderful. There wasn't any thing that I didn't like.

I wish I could have stayed longer. The time was really too short. I can't think of anything not to like about that place.

Perfection from start to finish.

The Carr Mansion is the best place I have ever stayed at. We had the best time and felt right at home the entire time. I look forward to going back and trying ALL the different rooms. I highly recommend staying here.

I quite literally loved everything about the Carr Mansion. I have nothing negative to say about our stay.

Wonderful

Beautiful property, love the history of the building. Love the decor and bathtubs in the rooms. The woman running the property was very friendly and cares about her guests comfort. She also cooks amazing breakfasts on the weekend.

Beautiful historic building. Cozy rooms with all the comforts of home. Great breakfast with a side of Southern hospitality. Close to beach and shopping. Loved our stay here. Highly recommend 👌👍

I'll never stay there ever again.

There was snacks, but no breakfast. Something about all the bananas were taken, and only a big breakfast is severed during the weekends.

The garden was not what I expected.

The head of the house and residence were both perfect. My wife and I will be back every year

I didn't like that booking.com messed up and showed us less availability than there was.
