We hadden aangekondigd dat we om 18:00 uur zouden aankomen. Bij aankomst was er niemand in het huis, alle lichten uit en een briefje in de brievenbus met de sleutels en naam van de kamer. De volgende ochtend nog steeds niemand gezien. De prijs voor deze accommodatie slaat nergens op.

The house is run down and so are the grounds.

Nothing went well.

There were several issues. First the attitude of the host was snappy and curt. I emailed above parking and was never told there was a fee. The parking spot was very difficult to get out of. The house is not being cared for, paint peeling, stairs with unpainted portions, raw materials used for steps that materials where not properly used, back entrance was not cared for, the bathroom had dirt on the baseboards, the tub had splotchy "repairs"/which appeared unkept, seal around the tub was not proper, furniture was musky, room had a frig, but no ice bucket, no glasses for drinks, but did have 2 wine glasses. The room felt unkept. The bed needs replacing, kind of sunk in when trying to sleep...........need I say more? The house in unkept and I will never stay there again.

Overall a good place to stay. Friendly host and we felt safe staying there.

We ate dinner Italian restaurant Chianti? And ate breakfast at Maple Street Biscuit Company

The base boards in the room we stayed in needed to be dusted. And a few walls could use a touch up of paint.

Exceptional

I loved the room and bathroom size/amount of space. The instructions were easy to follow to get into the house and the room- and the welcome was very nice and kind! Especially loved the outside space on the porch outside of the room. Beautiful landscape outside. Excellent stay!

Just don’t - especially in the summer

Location. Size of room. Balcony.

AC failing or underpowered - At 6pm thermostat said 79 despite set to 66. We were pouring sweat within ten minutes of sitting still. Proprietor denied that there was a problem and talked down to us, saying that as Floridians we should know there is no way the ac would be able to cool the house down until the evening and that we should be glad we are downstairs because there room was hotter and we would feel how much cooler it was inside by going outside. We decided to check out immediately and go somewhere else. The proprietor was dismissive and said nobody ever complained before and we would lose our money for 3 nights of room and parking if we leave. We most definitely left, money be damned, and logged a dispute with our bank as soon as it was possible. Guest tell us air conditioner we tell them central air conditioner works but looks like guest not happy because of the temperature outside is 95 degrees and yesterday weather excessive heat warning. Our air conditioner is completely working and we have inside room ceiling fan too. guest can not get the refund back because that’s not our property problem it was a weather problem and in that case I can not do anything. We are so sorry. Basically suck it up if it’s hot inside. I haven’t sweat like that since my ac was broken last summer. If I wanted to stew in that sort of heat, I would have camped at Anastasia for a small fraction of the cost.

Superb

The bed was very comfortable, the room was cozy and it has a decent sized balcony with its own set of stairs. There was also a 24 hour coffee and snack room.

It would have been nice to have a bath mat in the shower and the shower head was shorter than my husband.

Fantastic location to explore a historic city

Its in a great location if you want to explore the historic district. Easy walking distance to the fort and to historic st george street. The on location parking is 10 dollars a day which is on par and slightly cheaper than other options in the area. It would be nice to see this cost included in the reservation however it is worth having a place to park since most of the popular attractions are within walking distance. The hosts were very accommodating and eager to make our stay as pleasant as possible.

The property is a historic property so keep this in mind if you select this property. I found it to be a fun way to experience this historic city however there are obvious limitations to a property that is over 100 years old.

Great location with subpar accommodations

The location was close to walk to the Historic District or the the trolley stop.

When we booked, we thought we were booking a bed and breakfast. After booking and when I couldn’t cancel, we were told that it was an Inn now and no breakfast. The sink did not have hot water in the bathroom and we were not given enough clean linens for our stay.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and plan on staying here again in the future.

We really liked it had a screened porch to enjoy the peace and quiet of the area. It is walking distance to places to eat and sites to see. And it's more affordable than most hotels in the area.

The decor on the screened porch could have been a little better. The padding on the porch bench seat could have been cleaner and newer. The TV could have been bigger for being so far away from the bed.

I should have read the description more carefully. I was looking for a hotel or an inn but this this was neither. But I should have known; it was right in the title “Historic Old Seville House” and that is exactly what it was - an old house. It was full of quaint antiques which would be perfect for someone who likes old things. The antiques were pretty and for anyone who likes floral wallpaper, there was lots of it. The rooms were spacious and clean.

It was way overpriced for a one night stay. When I arrived they surprised me with an extra $10 parking fee. The sign on the door said “bed and breakfast “ but the only thing I saw in the dining room was a Keurig coffee machine and some prepackaged cookies. There was no one around to ask - I had to go looking. When I finally found someone he said that there was no breakfast because they are not a B and B. (Despite “Bed and Breakfast “ on the sign by the front door). The plumbing was old — the claw foot tub was pretty but higher than expected so I almost fell getting in and out. Also the finish was damaged and there was rust by the sink drain.

Nice managers but place is in sad need of updating.

The owners/managers were very nice. Arrival, departure, parking were all smooth. The bed was comfortable. The room was nice, at one former time. Location and ability to walk to restaurants/stores/attractions was great.

The place is in sad need of repair, upkeep, renovation. The bathroom had such old, sad, somewhat dirty fixtures. There was no breakfast. The cost was less than other B&Bs in the area and now we realize why this may be so, though we did not see inside the other places. Sadly, we could not wholeheartedly recommend this place and would suggest you look at other places first.

Friendly host, lovely screened in upper porch, comfortable bed, good fridge, good shower and large tub, excellent location.

Would definitely stay there again.

The inn was very quaint, and Roma and Sunni could not have been nicer. The location is perfect for walking to shopping and restaurants.

The only downside was it was listed as a B & B, but they no longer serve breakfast.

we loved St Augustine just picked the wrong place.

it is advertised as a B&B but has no breakfast. needs updating. Porcelain tub was chipped and stained, grout was cracked, missing and black all around. TV didn’t work. Took forever to get hot water. If we could get some kind of reimbursement, we would appreciate it. won’t go by your recommendation again.

Wonderful place to stay in St. Augustine

A lovely & comfortable room. We loved that it was within walking distance to everything we wanted to do. Plus free parking at the residence.

Only negative was that the guests staying in the room above us, woke us up very early by banging luggage and sqeeky floors.

A bad experience.

How do I begin? Booked a lovely room with an outside porch. All of the imaged shows a nice place. Day of arrival, spoke with owner as we were on our way (1:00) He indicated the room was ready and to call when we were 10 minutes out. Called 15 minutes from property after stopping for lunch (2:00) left message. Arrived at inn. Font Door locked. Called owner who answered and opened locked door. Told us to park in back. Never allowed to enter thru front door. We were told to go up the outside staircase (rickety and dirty) carrying our own bags. This was the emergency exit we were told. (We are both professional seniors who expect a bit more in life) Entered room old....that's not a bad thing in an historic inn...it was much less tha optimal in any event. No mention of being able to use rest of home or breakfast. I asked owner what happened to the room that I booked. Was told a family staff member had rented it to another person while he was at lunch. Mind you we had been in contact with him for over 2 hours and were on our way. I often visit St Augustine from my home in Jacksonville. Have NEVER experienced anything like this. WAS AFRAID TO STAY TERE.BUT This was the ultimate bate and switch. They should not be on your website to rent...PERIOD.
