Clean rooms, comfortable bed, friendly staff, convenient location.

Breakfast food was good. Room was clean and comfortable. Great outdoor amenities, except for lack of paved path to the river--hard for older or handicapped (walkers, wheelchairs) people to walk across the lawn.

Poor location for coffee station too close to trash and used dishes location; people who wanted coffee had to wait for people to sort and take care of their trash and dishes, and vice versa. Breakfast food was good but the television blaring obnoxious FOX "News" political sensationalism made staying in the room intolerable. The second morning I asked the gentleman working to change the channel to "anything non-political: sports, weather, a morning show on ABC, NBC, or CBS." He very kindly obliged. We weren't told we would need a reservation to eat at the restaurant on Tuesday night. Had to find another place for dinner.

It was a peaceful and relaxing stay.

The property was beautifully attended to. The grounds, the pool, the workout room. The included breakfast food was delicious and everywhere you went on the property all was pristine and just so relaxing. The fire pit area at night and the lake during the day were a wonderful day and night past time. The water was so clean you could see everything clearly at the bottom. I loved the place. It was peaceful day and night.

The bugs..lol. Perhaps a staff member can clean the chair and furniture twice a week to remove the cobwebs and spiders.

Stay was okay but not up to the standard that we paid for it.

Breakfast was good. Dinner at the restaurant was good. Location was terrific.

The air conditioner never really cooled the room. It was bearable because it wasn't really, really hot outside. But we had the AC cranked full blast the entire time (should have been freezing us out) just to make it moderately cool in our room.

A nice place after a visit to the Frederic Remington museum

Location is excellent. View on St Laurence River is unique. The hotel is renewed. Very clean. Nice property. Parking is easy. Service is acceptable. The restaurant is welcome,

The cooking at the restaurant is average. Many items at the menu were back order. The breakfast is poor and should be improved (a lot).

Great value, very clean and many little extras like pod coffee and bottled water in the room. Great shower. Super value

The connected restaurant is convenient but the staff is so so and the food is so so as well. Nothing else close by so it works.

Not impressed.

Staff talking loud out in the hall during early morning hours making it difficult to sleep. My husband was initially told when he was checking in that we couldn’t stay there because we lived in Ogdensburg. We just moved back to the area from out of state and have been waiting for moving truck to deliver our furniture so have been staying in hotels. Gran View is the closest to our house - not sure we’ll be staying here again or recommend to visitors.

Great view, spacious rooms, cool campus with amenities

Lovely room with a view of the St. Lawrence River. Room was spacious and bright. The hotel has a large grassy area that leads down to the River. There are some lawn games and a firepit. Our stay included a discount in the restaurant a few doors down where we had a nice meal.

The rate included breakfast. While that was a nice bonus, the breakfast was just average.

Wonderful resort feel ruined by allowing contractors to stay and do what they want.

Beautiful location, exceptionally clean, beautiful decor, good breakfast. Staff was exceptional as well, very accommodating, especially at the restaurant. Rooms a little small and dated but they did a good job of making it attractive and clean.

The only complaint is they allow contractors to come and stay during the week. They parked their big truck in front of our door, had cases and cases of beer, hung out in their cars, played loud music and left garbage in the parking lot . It ruined the time for us. It was supposed to be a resort type relaxing facility, especially for the price. Instead it felt like a cheap motel. We mentioned it to the front desk one night but they said contractors can be like that. I get the hotel has to make money but they should put the contractors in one area and have some rules. It’s a shame.
