Really charming boutique hotel with warm and friendly staff in the centre of Phnom Penh.

Lovely little find in Phnom Penh. A charming boutique hotel with friendly staff and a super lobby cafe. Rooms were clean and tidy. Relaxing place to use as a base to explore the city. Walkable to Tuol Sleng.

Location was a little out of the way from the river, Royal Palace, and other attractions but the abundance of tuk tuks and taxis meant this was not really an issue.

It is a home I love to come back! You are amazing team, La Chronique

When I arrived, I was greeted by Wata “Welcome home”. I felt home. Love how good the room smell. Towels smell particularly fresh! Great functional space within the room. Good water pressure. Toiletries are quality! Highly efficient services from front desk to room cleaning, and the restaurant. Balcony is so cute!!!

Décoration soignée, bon emplacement, petit déjeuner inclu dans le prix de la chambre, au restau de l’hôtel, délicieux, personnel aux petits soins

La chambre était trop petite pour 4. Idéale pour 2, mais vraiment pas adaptée en famille (le canapé lit ne se dépliait pas, ils n’avaient pas prévu les draps)

A haven from the hustle and bustle outside

None provided but an excellent cafe downstairs, excellent comfrotable linen and towels, down pillows: the most comfortable bed we experienced in Cambodia, Australia and Vietnam on our long trip.

Broken catch on shower room window indicated it was insecure. No. 6 first floor. Nothing to stop window being opened from outside: and there was a scaleable roof, but with a room safe this wasn't a significant issue. Room was the minimum acceptable size, but was well designed and very functional. nice line in soaps and shower gels

Cozy quiet corner of a bustling city.

Beautifully designed. Each room has a painting by qa Japanese NIHONGA artist, Mr Takakazu Yamada, depicting the streets of Phnom Penh. Soon they will fetch millions.

Shower rooms are beginning to turn a bit moldy.

Cute hotel in a quiet area

It was such a sweet experience staying in La Chronique. The receptionists are extremely friendly and helpful. The bistro and cafe downstairs is nice (Breakfast included is a great start to the day.) The location is also very convenient, near Russian market and with a lot of good restaurants and bars. It's much quieter than living near the river.

Our room is small. Book a bigger room if you have big luggages.

Room was overall very clean, the area around is nice with many coffees, restaurants and bars. Vatha is very kind and helpful.

I had some minors like the shower curtain was dirty but was immediately changed upon request. I think the main negative thing is the room size that is pretty small.

Charming Hotel

Phnom Penh is a messy city. But this hotel was a beautiful gem. Beautiful building, great service and delicious breakfast. As well a big shoutout to the staff. They were always friendly, ready to talk in a perfect english. Thank you so much for your kindness. Orkun!

Tranquil retreat and hidden gem in Phnom Penh

This hidden gem exceeded my expectations in every way. The pillows provided in the room were absolutely perfect, offering a comfortable and restful night's sleep. Despite comments about the room size, I found it to be just right, especially considering the balcony that allowed me to enjoy relaxing evenings with a drink in hand. Additionally, the side lane adjacent to the hotel served as a convenient shortcut leading to a street lined with restaurants. The location was also easily accessible for Grab rides, adding to the convenience of getting around the city. Overall, La Chronique left me thoroughly impressed. In addition to the excellent accommodations, the coffee shop downstairs at La Chronique was a true highlight. The service provided throughout both the hotel and coffee shop was exceptional, leaving a lasting positive impression. I particularly enjoyed the nostalgic touch of spotting a yellow pages book (a piece we rarely sight these days !), evoking a sense of sentimentality. The combination of top-notch service, a cozy ambiance, and the nostalgic charm of the coffee shop made it an inviting space to start the day or unwind with a cup of coffee. La Chronique truly excels in providing a remarkable experience, and I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a memorable stay in Phnom Penh.

Good choice for the first few nights in Phnom Penh

Stylish, European, good Quality, middle class Hotel

The Hotel is outside and inside very stylish in its European look with a retro touch. It is absolutely comparable with some small and stylish European middle class hotel of good quality. The corner rooms we had on the 2nd and 3rd floor were small but with a nice view, quite, very well equipped and comfy. The hotel might not be in the centre but the neighbourhood has a lot of excellent restaurants, bars, cafes and shopping opportunities. For getting around in the city I recommend the grab app. The staff was super friendly and helpfull without being intrusive.

In both cases the room size was at the lower limit, the small carpet in front of the bed was in need for cleaning and the shower curtain useless, because to close to the shower.

Exceptional

The room itself was fantadtically appointed. The best of all thw accomodation we stayed at in Cambodia. Position was good for local food and proximity to the Russian market. Friendly and exceptionally helpful staff making our stay smooth as well as comfortable.

Mr. Vatha was exceptional! It truly felt like my second home in PP. Every single detail in the room and hotel was so thought out and well-executed! Literally one of the best hotels in PP.
