Bien pour ne rien faire

Bel établissement bien pensé bien entretenu, grande chambre, literie confortable. Personnel très accueillant et serviable. Bon wifi.

Le service restauration est trop long si plusieurs commandes en même temps 1h pour un petit déj. Plein de petites imperfections dans l'organisation. Accès compliqué et pas assez anticipé si vous arrivez en retard plus de ferry public, obligé de faire appel à un moyen privé trop cher. (Double le prix du séjour). Et le pire pour un lieu retiré c'est la clim façon réacteur d'avion insupportable pour dormir. L'hôtel n'y est pour rien mais la plage et les fonds marins de proximité sont dévastés par l' invasion d'algues vertes rançon du tourisme de masse de Borakay toute proche et dans le même état.

Nice location on the beach. Great new pool table. Lovely friendly staff! Very cute dogs.

Over priced rental of bikes and snorkels (cost same to buy on the next island). Food came out cold.

best guesthouse on carabao

we really enjoyed our 5 days at this little guesthouse! it is right on a clean white sand beach that was great for swimming. the lounge/dining room was very comfortable with a great view of the ocean and passing ships. there were loads of comfortable loungers for relaxing and plenty of shade. we saw several guests from the other hotels on the small island spending their days here so it must be good! all in all a very comfortable well managed hotel. certainly the best guesthouse on carabao.

Location is amazing, but don’t expect any hospitality!

After 6 months of traveling we unfortunately have to give our first negative review.. Already from the start it was just short; no welcome, no information, just ‘give your ID’. The next morning we ordered breakfast (included) and after 60 minutes waiting we still didn’t got our omelet. We asked if there was something wrong but we only got: ‘just wait’. After 80 minutes we finally got our omelet.. Then she came back and said: ‘tea and amaricano are not included, you have to pay for it’. Huh what!? They gave the menu to us and said we can order from this list (pointing to the coffee and tea). I was so confused and said that her colleague gave me that menu. But the only response we got was ‘just pay’.. The next day when I paid for my final bill I was sure they took it off (come on, a little bit of hospitality?), but it was there… Again I explained the situation but it was just ‘you pay’. All around the Philippines people are amazing and the hospitality is just great, except at this place… We still enjoyed our stay on the island, it’s an amazing place!

Amazing resort! Carabao is a hidden gem with almost no tourism (Which is crazy to think about as its only a few kilometres away from boracay which is the biggest tourist hotspot of the phillipines) and this resort is the perfect place to stay, especially if you are a backpacker as they offer bunk beds. The restaurant is really nice, they have a good selection of both local and western dishes, service can be a bit slow at times but if you are low on time they'll be quick! The owners are super friendly and gave us information and many tips on what to do on the island. The place itself is really nice, beds are good, they have a pool table and a nice chill out zone/sunning area. The sunset is amazing, this place really does feel like paradise! I really enjoyed my stay at Lanas beach resort and I will definitely return to this wonderful island!

Great place at a very reasonable price. Everything was clean, views were wonderful, food was good, staffs were hospitable and super helpful, and the vibes were very chill. Will definitely stay at the same place again if ever having the chance to return to Carabao island.

Talking about hidden gems, LNB is definition of it. Everything was great ( Location, staff, restaurant, valur for money), and if you like queit place to getaway, especially after Boracay Island, yoi wont regret it. We spend 7 at LNB and it was well worth it. Shoutout to everyone, loved our stay

worthwhile!

this place is amazing! the island is quite remote so a good accommodation is essential, specially with the weather conditions sometimes. We stayed 4 nights and had a great time. it’s right on the beach, the rooms are spacious (dorm room) clean, good airconditioning and the bed is comfy. The staff of Lana’s is very friendly and helpful, they will do there best to make your time worthwhile. So good vibes, good food, good people, what else do you need?

We booked a private room, apparently the budget room. Personally we didn’t like it. it had no window or view of the garden. Wich booking describes it has. However we changed to the dorm room, and this room was really nice. Spacious and new! They have better private room, but these were fully booked.

Quiet relaxing stay on a remote island

The staff is very helpful and friendly. They really try their best to make your stay memorable and pleasant. Lanas is a smaller resort with only three buildings for guests and therefore not overcrowded. The restaurant has a good selection of foods and the location directly at the beach is very nice. The island is very native. Only few tourists and therefore pretty quiet. One does not get harassed as a tourist and the people on the island are all very friendly.

The island (Carabao, Romblon, San Jose? It seems there are different names for it) is quite remote. If you are after some very quiet time to relax it's probably a very good place to stay. During the time we have been there (October) there was only Lanas Beach Resort open. No other restaurant in the vicinity available to have dinner for a change (The food at Lanas is very good, but a little change of lunch/dinner location every now and then would still be nice). Sadly the beach and the water were dirty and littered with plastic trash everywhere. Would be nice if the staff could clean the part of the beach right in front of the resort once a day. The further away one walks on the beach the more trash one will see. Very saddening experience. Also the location of Lanas is quite hidden. You have to rent a scooter to get to San Jose town if you need/want anything.

Lanas Beach Resort is a peaceful and very refreshing place to stay. I like the gardens surrounding arround the units. My family and I enjoyed taking photos there. Staff and customer service management are good. They are approachable and kind. They serve their guests with smiles on their faces. On the other hand, rooms and accomodation are also good and very comfortable to stay in. I highly recommend Lanas Beach Resort to all tourists planning to stay in Carabao Island.

Best resort in the Philippines!!!

Everything was fantastic and beyond our expectations! We have been travelling the Philippines for 2 months and this has been our favourite accommodation in the country. If you get the chance to go to Carabao Island, we completely recommend this place! The staff are super helpful, the food is sarap 😋 and the bubble tea is mind blowing. We messaged asking about a special requested romantic dinner on the beach which was a first time for the resort and they went above and beyond making it the most memorable dinner we have ever had. We will be recommending this place to all of our friends and family! 😀 Thank you to the lovely staff!

My whole stay here was superb! got the whole resort to myself since I was traveling alone and not much of tourists get in the island. The staff were so nice and approachable. Best place to stay if youre looking for a beach front stay for an affordable price.
