Over all it was nice however there was definitely some disappointment.

Overall Good experience/ Not great view

Office staff was great, Check in was easy & fast. Pool (very cold water) was very nice roomy and included beautiful lights, comfortable lounge chairs. The hot tub was nice- I loved how cozy the atmosphere was. It was literally on the beach. Pool must be accessed with room key. Did not have breakfast as it was $16/person. They did have a little store in there, but everything was very expensive.

I did not like the fact that I paid $300/night for a bay view BUT, there was a huge awning outside of our room (as you can see in the photos) that covered the whole beach area and we were not able to see the sand, the people or anything going on below us. The parking lot was VERY full because they allow other people that are not guests to park there , pay and walk to the beach. Parking even for guests is $10 per day

Amazing, the view was beautiful, the food delicious and our stay was fun and memories.

the rooms were good, bed was a little hard for my husband and I but other than that it was great for the rest of our family. the beach was right outside in the back of the hotel, and I loved that they had a wash station for us and the kids, and if the waves got too crazy for the little ones their pool was close and to the side with a bar, drinks for adults and children. we picked Double Tree because it wasn't too far from Texas State Aquarium which was great because after a long day there all you want to do is get to the hotel and relaxed, and if you didn't want to drive to get food there was a bar and restraint there for you as well, bonus for my family for all we wanted to do was not drive and just stay and enjoy, live music, nice people, great service, kids got a cookie when we arrived, view was amazing, defiantly room to set inside and out to enjoy peace or some sun. we will defiantly make Double Tree our first choice to stay when visiting Corpus Christy.

The beds were not comfortable for my husband and I but everyone else liked them. The beach when wanting to go into the water it had a big drop off and that was a little scary for me because my kids are small, there weren't any sets out there and It would have been great if they had that for the hotel instead of renting chairs.

Beach vacay disappointed bae...

We were near the beach, museum and restaurants (walking distance). The staff at front desk were also very helpful, kind and nice.

Hotel is very run down. The room had a funny smell, the curtains and carpet needs to be thrown out. It was very dirty and had highly visible stains. Bathroom was rusty and made my feet curl! Red wine and Benadryl is the only reason I was able to sleep at night. Last, the downstairs eating area and bathrooms smelled of something rotten. It was pretty bad; not sure what it was but we held our breath going through that part of the hotel. That place needs some work.

I will come back

Excellent staff at front desk, restaurant and bar. I liked the pool with sitting areas that had wicker/cushion furniture.

I would like to have had a room that faced the beach, but other than that i have no real complaints.

Great location for the price.

The location to the beach

We paid extra for a patio overlooking the bay, but the patio had green ac water from above dripping on it and in puddles so we couldn’t use it at all.

It sorprise me how expensive was, because for that price I could easily rent a suite with two living rooms one dining room, one room, two bathrooms here in sheraton dallas downtown where I been working for 16 years, but other than that it was great

I overall had a great experience and I definitely plan on booking with them again!

I really love that it was beach front view . It was very clean and peaceful. I loved how I can go out to the beach late at night, it was very beautiful.

I Just didn’t know how to turn off balcony light which bothered me when I was trying to sleep I called the front desk but they didn’t answer when I called.

the staff very friendly and the environment

my curtain bathroom was dirty like if someone clean poop with it. The pool was nasty lots of hair floating around we thought it was seaweed at first. But not it was hair. Too many flies around our breakfast buffet.

Could have been better

It was clean

We had to wait almost an hour after check in time to check in. When I got there 30 minutes before and our room was not ready the gm made a rude comment about us still having 30 minutes till check in. Our rooms view was not nice after I payed extra to get a beach view so I could watch the fireworks from my balcony but all I could see is the other hotels pool. They had a band at the pool that was extremely loud we couldn’t even carry a conversation without yelling in each others ear.

Very relaxing stay for a short getaway

We loved the pool especially when the swim-up bar was open. We ate dinner in the restaurant our first night there. It was very good. Every single staff member we encountered was exceptional and always went the extra mile with a smile. Kudos especially to Jose’ who waited on us in the restaurant and also was the bartender at the swim-up bar in the pool. So helpful and kind. Couldn’t have asked for better service.

I wish we could have had a room with an ocean view but that’s my own fault for not inquiring about it when I made the reservation. The neighborhood seemed a little sketchy but we never felt unsafe. The room was nice and clean and big enough but it would have been nice to have a small table with a couple chairs. There’s plenty of room for that. I will say, though, it was the very best hotel on the beach by a long shot. Also it seems weird to have to pay for parking.
