About this house rental
Nestled in Tempe, this charming house for $258 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. This remodeled 3-bedroom, 2-bath house is located within walking distance of Arizona State University and Mill Avenue, which is the heart of downtown Tempe. City bus routes and a light rail system make this location very desirable. The property is close to Sun Devil Stadium, Grady Gammage Auditorium, Tempe Center for the Arts and Tempe Town Lake, which is the home of the annual Ironman Triathlon and numerous other events. The AZ Cardinals stadium is a 30-minute drive away so this property is a perfect location for AZ Cardinals games and the annual Fiesta Bowl. If interested, the owner often has extra AZ Cardinals tickets. The nightlife of this college town makes this home ideally located for those who want to vacation in a quiet neighborhood close to where the action is. Since the property is very centrally located in the metro Phoenix area, you can hang out in Tempe or go anywhere in the metro Phoenix area very quickly and inexpensively. Executive as well as designer golf courses are nearby. A short drive will take you to numerous spring training facilities. The Phoenix Zoo is less than five miles away. The living room, bedrooms and the backyard are equipped with cable television. You will find a walk-in shower with a seat and two shower heads in the main bathroom. The second bathroom has a modern shower stall. The interior of the house is fully tiled and newly furnished with contemporary furniture. A swimming pool -- heated during the winter except during December and January -- accentuates the covered patio and gas grill in the backyard. If you would like to have the pool heated for your stay in December or January, there would be an added cost. When heated, the pool heater is set at 88 degrees but, if the outside temperature gets too cool, the pool temp may not reach 88. That doesn't happen often but it does happen occasionally. There are wet suit tops in the laundry area for your use. Those will help. If you are bringing dogs to the property, please try to keep them out of the pool as dog hair can seriously clog the filtering system. Exercise equipment can also be found in the laundry room, which is located next to the pool. The property is also conveniently located only 4 miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. This property can accommodate 6 guests but, if you need to find lodging for more, we own 2 other vacation rentals on the block. You can see them at VRBO.com/933406, which has a pool, and VRBO.com/214978, which does not have a pool. You will not be charged a cleaning fee at any of our 3 properties. The property can accommodate a family gathering but cannot accommodate a large event. If you are planning to host an event of any size, please clear it with the owner at time of booking. Spent a long weekend at Shirley's & Pete's Pool House before moving our son into ASU. Everything you need is here! We spent much of our time in their pool and riding bikes to the nearby town. Shirley was friendly, helpful, and available if needed. I highly recommend the Pool House for your stay. We plan on coming back in the near future.

Our hockey team of 16 year old girls used this VRBO for swimming and meals while in town for an August tournament. It’s PERFECT for a family or gatherings like we had. The pool has a deep end so kids could play pool games. I would rent this house again in a heartbeat. SO close to ASU campus it made everything easy.

I have stayed at many VRBO'S but this is the first time I have ever written a review. Everything that you are looking for in a perfect house is here. My 13 year old will tell you his favorite part was the 8 foot pool with all the pool toys. My husband will tell you that he liked the location...close to ASU, restaurants, movies etc. I liked that I felt like I was staying at a friend's house and Shirley and Pete are amazing hosts. Super cozy, super clean house and being that I love to cook (other VRBO'S had minimum things that I needed) the kitchen had everything needed and more! We had some family and friends over (with Shirley's permission) and our 4th of July is memorable because of the "pool house."

The ‘pool house’ was a good property and stay for my family for a few days while touring Phoenix. Host is very helpful and has the home stocked with most things you may need both inside & around the pool. excellent location close to ASU. Home is dated as built in the 1960s but certainly has been updated in last 20+ years

This house is wonderful. It's the perfect place to stay while visiting our Sun Devil. The back yard and pool are beautiful. There are two tv's outside so you can hang out and watch football games. Floaties and corn hole are also provided. The house is stocked with everything you need. This is our second time renting from Shirley and we will definitely be renting one of her houses again! The best houses in the area!

The Pool House was just perfect! Great location , nice neighborhood. The host was available to answer questions in a prompt manner. The house is so so clean & well organized. This was our first VRBO rental and so we didn't know what to expect. From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were at home. The house is really cute and the pool is spectacular!!! Pete and Shirley were available in case we needed anything (we didn't), the neighborhood was nice and quiet, and there are stores and restaurants within walking or short driving. We are already planning our next visit. And worth repeating, the pool is FABULOUS. 5 stars all around.

By far, the best short-term rental experience we've ever had! Shirley was amazing - the rental is AMAZING. The place is CLEAN, well-stocked (unbelievably well-stocked), and communication was great with Shirley. She was accommodating with check-in and check-out. Can't say enough good things. We had a great stay at the Pool House! The house was clean, the beds very comfortable and the pool was awesome! The pool is huge and heated to a very warm temperature. The outside TVs and bar area were a plus. The house is close to ASU and the neighborhood is quiet. Shirley and Pete were great hosts and responded very promptly to any of our questions. Highly recommend.

We wanted to escape to Phoenix as a respite from Winter! Our stay met and exceeded our expectations. The property is immaculate and very well appointed with everything you need. We especially enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, convenient location, and having the bicycles to go to the bike trail nearby. Shirley and Pete were so helpful! They are great hosts!
