Wonderful hosts, adorable dogs and amazing home made blueberry muffins!!

Karrie and Howie are wonderful hosts! Adding to that their two adorable dogs and Karrie’s amazing home made blueberry muffins and amazing breakfast - you’ll feel right at home. We had a wonderful time staying at Coles bay and will surely be back again!

The spacious suite was very comfortable and well-appointed with full kitchen, patio, two large bedrooms, dining room, sitting room. Everything was tasteful and in good order. The host provided a home-cooked waffles, muffins, or scones each day, even though we did not expect breakfast. Very friendly atmosphere with two large poodles.

A small suggestion: provide paved access. The graveled path to the suite is rather long to carry luggage, and it is difficult to wheel a suitcase over the stones. This becomes an issue for seniors. Even the two steps with no handrail was a drawback, and I had to go over the lawn to avoid climbing stairs.

Everything. What a wonderful B&B. Karey and Howard are excellent hosts - friendly and helpful. We were served a lovely, filling breakfast every morning. The room was large and well equipped. Everything is super clean. Excellent value for money paid.

We had the best stay at Coles Bay Vacation Retreat and would, without doubt, give it 10/10!! Karey and her husband were incredibly hospitable and the luxurious apartment was so well equipped. It was peaceful, convenient and just a few minutes walk to a lovely beach. And to top it all we had delicious breakfasts delivered to our door.

Such a good stay I will be back.

Everything was perfect. The room is beautifully decorated with all amenities. Very comfortable bed. Big bathroom complete with soft bathrobe. Breakfast was delicious. Great attention to detail.

Wonderful accommodation and hosts

Wonderful room, everything you could need plus some items you might have forgotten. Breakfast was fabulous and home cooked by Karey. Nothing was too much trouble to make our stay more comfortable. Easy walk down to Coles Bay. Very near airport and access to ferry if this is needed.

Good time on Vancouver Island

Owner was very friendly. The breakfast was excellent. We got all the needed help. The room was very clean. Very safe and quiet area. Good starting point to discover the island (Butcher Garden, Victora, ...)

The room was rather dark. Not to much place to put clothes.

Comfortable stay

Quiet neighborhood. Super friendly host. Separate entry attached to home. Onsite parking in gravel area. Loved the crepes and fresh baked goods.

A gem of a place. The host is a very special person who goes out of her way to welcome you.

The host is absolutely wonderful. The room is cozy and comfortable. She makes a superb breakfast. Because we had a very early flight she allowed us to have an early check-in so that we could get a nap and a bath before we had to make the airport. She was so kind. This is a very special place.

For the very reasonable fee, there really couldn't be Improvement. It's a fabulous room. She's a fabulous host. The breakfast is exceptionally good. And it's 7 minutes from the airport!

Exceptional hosting. Every wish and need met with wonderful attitude.

It is rural and a little off the track, but their directions and a map ap got us there well. A daytime arrival is easier!

OMG!!!! Where do we start...... unfortunately it was a rushed trip to catch an early ferry, but ...... starting our 20th anniversary by choosing to stay at this absolutely charming, gem of a place, with hosts that felt like our own family.... We didn't want to leave!!! I highly recommend and we will definitely be back as soon as we can:) One of our most memorable stays!!!!

Close drive to airport, quiet, clean great value !

This suite-room with a private bath is clean with a very comfortable bed, a fridge, microwave, coffee bar, table and chairs. The location in a pretty, quiet neighborhood is a quick drive to the airport. The hosts are very kind, accommodating people who both made my stay everything I needed, including a home cooked breakfast. I recommend this accommodation.

Get ready to be cared for.

The best thing about this place is the host. She is so thoughtful and considerate and tries to think of everything to make your stay better. She bakes fresh croissants for you in the morning and brings them to your room if you do the breakfast option! In addition to an absolutely brilliant breakfast all around. This is one of the nicest country stays we've ever had.

Nothing. If someone wanted quick (under 20 minutes) and easy access to Victoria they would be frustrated because it's not in Victoria. But that's really just a matter of looking at a map. This is a wonderful stay.

Breakfasts were excellent. Pair of friendly poodles. Extremely well stocked accommodation (charging ports, condiments, books, etc.). Friendly and kind hostess. Quiet area. Excellent location for exploring North Saanich. Comfortable facilities.
